I am very practical, yet artistic. I am a semi-pro photographer. I have completed a project on finding abstract within the most detailed parts of the inside of a flower and am working on a couple of others. One is focusing on the hulking obsolete manufacturing plants that are placed throughout the country and what to do with them.
Professional: I am in process of starting a design/build firm dedicated solely to historic buildings. This is something that not only does not exist in Colorado, but the country. I have spent 20 years training for this because it is so unusual, yet there is a large need. There is nothing more satisfying than turning what everybody else thinks should be condemned in a pillar of the community once again. I am also creating a website/database that will house documentation for historic buildings throughout the country. This should be a big help to the preservation industry for generations to come.
I grew up in Western Michigan and would tell my Mother that I was heading home. After I while, she figured out that I was going to the beach. I love nature. It is what brought me to this beautiful state and I am not leaving again. I have lived many places here in CO as well as Chicago and San Francisco. Colorado is my home, finally. Now that I have finally settled on a state, I am looking for a woman's heart to call home.
I have always been athletic and will continue that attitude throughout my life. You don't have to be, but it would a bonus to go for a bike ride or strenuous hike. I enjoy road biking and have ridden in 6 MS 150's. I also volunteer for the Multiple Sclerosis Society to help those with ADA upgrades to their homes.
