I also love fixing things, from cars to computers, but I don't want to spend all my time fixing things for you! I still have too many things to do before I can retire to the old homestead.

Meet someone special from United States. I'm a retired industrial electrician. I was usually branded as the resident mad scientist altho I've minimal higher education. I know bits of stuff about lots of things because I've read a lot of technical stuff and I'm not afraid to experiment. I can see how seemingly unrelated stuff can work together. It also helps to be a cronic tinkerer and my mindset is a little excentric. I'm very comfortable with who I am. I like to say I'm comfortable in my wierdidity. I'm charming and friendly and know how to put sentences together and am helpful and caring about others feelings and pot holes in life and love deeply and totally when the right woman comes into my life and evidently tell a good story when sharing my experiences. Like sailboat racing to the islands and back twice, the last time singlehanded. In fact nearly a quarter of a century of my life has been spent sailing in and around the bay and up and down the coast. I've herded cattle, worked an oil rig, built artificial hearts, done glass blowing, and installed dry cleaning plants. The point being I'm incorragably curious (and a bad speller!!!) and have never been afraid to try something new. This life chapter is mostly about music. Being classically trained on the piano from 6th grade until just after high school and having played cornet in the jazz and marching bands in school plus my mom being an opera and contemporary singer I've been exposed to a great range of music. I appreciate all kinds of music that I can understand. Free jazz I can't find the handle on tho'.(perhaps that is the point). Am in a blues band and we are exploring stepping over that vague blues/jazz line of late. Depending on mood I listen to anything from classical to metal except rap. I'm looking for an adventurous soul, one who isn't afraid of leaving the beaten path. Creative in some kind of way that she's really passionate about. Someone who is living life rather than watching it go by. My ideal partner would have her feet on the ground (well at least close enough to be aware of some bits of reality) but able to soar with the eagles and not get lost......... Date single man from Concord, United States. For about the last week or so, I have been trading Japanese language puns (language wonk to language wonk) with a friend in Japan. Lots of fun. I didn't get my degree in Japanese, (or anything else), but it was chronologically the last of my three majors, after cultural anthropology and computer science. My main job is doing data entry bookkeeping and payroll for a friend of mine's company out of my home office. I have a part time job working in a gift shop with a heavy Japanese tourist clientele, where I get many chances to practice my Japanese. I also speak survival Spanish.
I have taken courses in, but am not fluent in, Russian, Hebrew, Italian, Portuguese, and Korean. It would be fun to meet a native born American lady, or an immigrant lady, or an overseas lady, who could teach me some knee slapper puns in Russian, Hebrew, Portuguese, or Korean!

About 2 weeks ago, I spent $59 on an internet Music download program, and I have been enjoying everything from Bob Dylan to Patsy Cline, John Lee Hooker to Ben Sidran, Hiroshima to Rick Braun, the Doors to Hank Williams, Jr. Yeah, I can be eclectic sometimes.

I will add more stuff as I think of it. this page is under construction, but here's the somewhat finnished product. Hey, in some ways my life is "under construction" right now; I wouldn't say I have "baggage", but there are some "caution! still under construction" signs here and there. I may not have that new car smell, but I run quite adequately, thank you.
