Date men and women from Concord, United States. I am outgoing while at the same time somewhat reserved. I participate in many social organizations as well as a couple of scholarship foundations. I frequently travel to spend time with old time friends but still enjoy alone time. I look for a woman that would like to travel, enjoy dining in as well as out. Enjoy time together as well as allow each other to have their own time. I have a small family although I am quite attached to them and enjoy family gatherings. I was married but have been divorced for some time and may be a bit set in my ways and very independent.

Meet men and women from Concord, United States. My closest friends would describe me as nice, friendly, kind, good sense of humor. Jon Stewart makes me smile. Accomplishment I'm most proud of is being the Mayor's Secretary. I'm grateful for my wonderful son and my granddaughter and daughter-in-law. Hoping to attract a kind and gentle, as well as manly man with a sense of humor. My social life is dull. I like slapstick humor. In a relationship, I prefer a part-time friend whom I see on weekends and having lunch. I'm most passionate about my wonderful granddaughter, who is the joy of my life.

Date a woman from Concord, United States. The year 2011 was one of transformation and change and I have every reason to believe it will continue into 2012.
I have been a psychotherapist in private practice for many years and have no plans to retire. My work gives my life meaning and purpose and makes my heart sing. Tho they have been tempered by life and time, I still hold many of the ideals of my youth and do my humble part in helping to make the world a better place.
I am committed to a healthy lifestyle of body, mind and spirit and so far it's working....no meds...no hospitals.
I've been studying metaphysics for many years and was once described as a "secular humanist". I liked that, tho it definitely wasn't meant as a compliment at the time ;-)!
I would say my proudest accomplishment AND what I am most grateful for are two remarkable children, both also in healing professions. I am grateful for the love of my grandchildren...they make me smile, for an education that has enriched my life, for the beauty of my beloved Yosemite Valley, for good music and good theater, for the ocean bringing me back to shore when I was swept out to sea in 1980. I am grateful for mentors like Ram Dass, Stephen Levine, Kubler Ross, Martin Luther King and the writings of Ghandi. I am grateful for the possibilities when life offers opportunities for expansion and growth.
Really good political satire makes me laff out loud. Listening to my young grandkids explain their view of the world often makes me laff out loud. There are times my own view of the world makes me laff out loud.
I would enjoy meeting someone who is smart, funny, socially conscious and aware, compassionate and honest and who would help me expand my experiences and perceptions. I would enjoy a connection that is real and authentic. I have no need to program an outcome....life unfolds as it will.

Date someone special from Alabama, United States. I am looking for someone to be my best friend and then we can see where it goes from there. Someone who is honest and up front, expresses his feelings and doesn't expect me to read between the lines and accepts me as I am. I see each of us as dependable, trustworthy and warm, complementing each other.
I grew up in the midwest, Michigan, a country girl but not a farm girl. We both will probably have tales to tell about our younger days. I was always amazing a co-worker with different things that I have experienced or done over the years.
I became a city girl when with a transfer to California. Each type of living has it pluses and minuses but for now, I prefer the city living. I enjoy the type of activities that I have in the community and nearby areas.
My children exposed me to sailing, diving, fresh abalone with a good bowl of chilie, camping and hiking. We did trips to Yosemite, southern California and Disneyland, the north coast and Crater Lake and in between. Then there was the Pacific Seacraft sailboat that I could sail "in the groove' that provided many relaxing weekends and experiences.
I have nearly finished sorting 45 yrs of photos into some semblence of order. The best way is to organize and put them in albums for each child and move them out of the house. Now it is
time to figure out what I want to do to give back to my community.
Currently I am a police department volunteer and part time cashier at our local OSH. I have been involved with the local elections over the last few years by working at the polls in my area; at times my garage has been the polling place.
I like to spent time with my local grandkids and try to give the moms some time for themselves now and then.
I enjoy most types of music during the day and have sang a couple of concerts with the SF BACH Choir in the past. It is always interesting to attend our local concerts in the park during the summer.
While I am somewhat of a homebody I still like to travel. When I first retired I drove cross country by myself. That allowed me to stop and see family and friends that I had been flying over when going back east. Now it is "have cell phone and current passport, will travel."
I like to try new things and new foods. I can still run a short game of soccer with the kids and manage to walk away in one piece. While I enjoy a good hockey game, and can get into baseball, I am willing to try things that are new for me while you enjoy your favorite sport or hobby.
While a lot of the above has been about me, I also want to keep your likes and dislikes in mind and to find a happy medium where we can be happy together.
