Going along to get along is not in my DNA but I do respect the right to have other opinions. Healthy living including fitness and making good food choices is a priority. Hydrogenated fats and high fructose corn syrup ARE the enemy. My Love for and Faith in Jesus Christ is central to my life. My active interests include running, hiking, working out, skiing, playing ice/floor hockey and just about anything out of doors. My competitive streak finds an outlet in running 5 and 10 k races where my times are improving recently.
I like to read and travel including weekend road trips. I love to attend concerts especially outlaw and classic country, bluegrass, and classic rock. I am a very amateur, yet aspiring banjo player. Enjoying a good microbrew or two can not be underestimated. I value honesty, family, friends and animals and am very proud of my service in the United States Marine Corps. Following Desert Shield/Storm, I attended college and graduate school to study biochemistry and biotechnology engineering and now have a rewarding career on the sales side of the challenging and constantly evolving pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry.
Although I do not have a single type, the woman for me is honest, intelligent, attractive, kind and ambitious. She is a Christian with a strong committed faith. She leads a healthy lifestyle and is active and fit. She lives her life and does not live vicariously through make believe characters on TV reality shows. I appreciate down time but full time couch potatoes and out of shape TV addicts we will not gel. Family and friends mean a lot to her. Strong morals and values are essential. She shares some similar interests but has plenty of her own. She should love children. It is also a bonus if she is an animal lover (or at least likes them). I am not perfect nor seeking perfection but for someone who shares the same core values I do and at least some of the interests.
Please be honest in your self description; it is the right thing. Descriptors like athletic and toned, slender, and about average have well defined and conventionally accepted meanings. If you are dishonest, need to date multiple guys at once, or are pathologically narcissistic, please do not waste either of our time. Also, I will not reply to winks or emails from prospective mail order brides (Poor grammar is a dead giveaway), profiles without photos, or obvious gold diggers. Although I enjoy looking at your pictures from 2004, please balance them with the 2012( okay 2011 is fine too) version. I also enjoy looking at your smiling face but a full photo confirms mutual understanding of the meaning of "about average". Also my disclosure...I have braces for correction of teeth grinding. No big deal to most adults but If this bothers you, move on. Atheists and secular humanists, I know it is your constitutional right to believe or not but we will definitely not click.
