Date a man from Alabama, United States. To tell you a little about myself......... I am 34, never been married, and I am at the point in my life where I am very much ready to settle down. I won’t settle down with anybody just for the sake of settling, you know what I mean? My life is simple but stable, I work full time as a local truck driver (I am home every night and work normal hours) and I am working on earning my bachelors degree in my spare time. Work ethic is a high priority for me; I have worked steadily my entire adult life as I believe that all able men should. I served in the Navy right out of high school and shortly after my time in the military I migrated up here to the north state (I was born and raised in the Bay Area). Shasta County is far from perfect but I am quite content with calling it home. I enjoy the slower pace of life up here in comparison to the overcrowded, insane life of the bigger cities. I don't have any kids; I just spoil my two dogs as if they are kids. I have a black lab and a yellow lab that are considered a part of the family rather than just pets, so any body that I date must like dogs.
Chivalry is a trait that is essential in any healthy relationship; I make a point to keep up on the little gestures to show my woman the respect that she deserves, everything from holding a door open to bringing home flowers on a “just because” occasion. I am looking for a lady who can become my best friend and my lover all in one. I value family life and need to be with someone who desires the same. I am open to dating someone with children, I realize that can often be a challenge but can also be a blessing at the same time. I rarely drink and I have long out grown my party phase. I have no problem with dating someone who enjoys a few drinks in the evenings but I can't be with a heavy drinker or someone who still wants to live the party life. Don't be mistaken, I do like to get out and enjoy life. I will get out on the dance floor with you even though I am not light on my feet. Live music is such a fun way to enjoy a Saturday night. I would really enjoy having someone to go on min-vacations with me on the weekends; trips to the coast or up into the mountains on those weekends in Redding when it’s too hot. Just as any person feels, I must find my partner attractive, but I am far from shallow or critical. We all lose our physical beauty as time goes on, but personality and actions of kindness are forms of beauty that never fade. None of us have a perfect body but we should all be comfortable in our skin and realize that our imperfections are what make us individuals. I hope to eventually meet the woman that is just right for me and I am for her. I realize that finding your lifelong partner is not something that will happen instantly. I believe in taking my time in getting to know you. If we don't end up being perfect for each other, well at least we will have gotten out of the house and had a good evening together by having dinner or sharing conversation. If you are an honest, down to earth lady with morals, then I think that we should get to know each other further.
