I'll just jump right here.... I moved here from New Mexico a few years ago for school and work. I've settled in here and love SD, but would like to get out and make a few friends. Maybe find that one special friend, which is why we're all here in the first place, I guess.
I'd say that I'm a pretty down-to-earth kinda guy. I'm a taurus and I guess sometimes it shows. But, I also like to ponder the big questions in life... Where do we come from? How did we get here?! Why are omelets so much better with feta cheese in them??!! Those sorts of things. I'm all about honesty and being open, especially in a relationship. I can be the strong quiet type, but when I open up, it's for real.
I love to laugh and especially making other people laugh--it's one of the coolest gifts you can give someone. I think maybe I just see the world from a slightly skewed angle that can make ordinary things ridiculously funny. If you're into the superficial macho, thing, you won't find it here. Real men have it where it counts and don't need to fake it. I'm not into fake--either giving or receiving. So you're probably wondering where this awesome guy comes from. OK, so here's a little of the back story... I grew up in the Southeast, raised by my artists parents. (I inherited dad's rebellious streak but got my dashing good looks from my mom.) I went to college in the Northeast to study anthropology, religion and history. Later, I worked as an archaeologist in the Southwest. I'm slowly working my way through all for corners of the country--so far, this one is my favorite. I've lived and worked oversees at times. Taught English in France and Turkey, studied in Egypt, was an exchange student in Hungary and helped excavate an ancient city Israel for a couple of summers. I love to travel and would really like to meet someone who would like to accompany me on exotic adventures to far-flung places (hint, hint). !Que romantico!
These days I'm pretty busy with work. I stumbled blindly into a new career a few years ago. Pays better than archaeology, but it's a lot of my focus and energy to get things rolling.
