Meet single man from Arkansas, United States. Pregnant Teacher: My daughter's fourth-grade teacher is unmarried and pregnant. Although she is a fantastic educator, kids at that age are bound to ask questions and are old enough that you cannot placate them with a simple answer. I asked her teacher what she told the children about her condition. She told me that she informed them she was pregnant (she is due in June, so this was obvious) and that was it. I asked her if she planned to keep the baby. She told me that was her business alone and she is not obligated to explain her marital status or plans with her child to me or anybody else. I feel that this woman has significant exposure and influence over my child and my questions were perfectly acceptable. Should I take this to the principal or switch classrooms? My husband thinks we should drop it, but I don't want my daughter to get the impression that single motherhood is acceptable.
A: As long as you were asking, I'm surprised you didn't inquire as to her favorite sexual position. Your comments were so far over the line that the teacher's proper and measured response to you indicates just how good she must be at handling unruly children. The lesson you want to teach your daughter is that you treat everyone with respect, so you should take your husband's advice and drop this completely.

I think people would generally describe me as sweet and polite, assertive and consistent, funny and heartfelt. I feel weird saying that because it is hard for me to take a compliment. So, I am not perfect. I can be forgetful and a little lazy on the weekends when I can escape the office. Sometimes I lose track of time at the office and work too hard. I need someone to help me balance out life and enjoy the beautiful moments more often. I can appreciate the small things in life, just as I can the big stuff. I love - love laughing and being silly. I can be a dork and am not to "cool" to drop my guard and be silly for a laugh. I really enjoy going to the movies, sporting events, spontaneous road trips, a good cocktail with a great meal, laughing with my mom and dad, (who are still together after starting a life together at 17 and 15, and magically still enamored with each other for almost 35 years), owning a fast car (I love motor sports), singing along to music that's just a little too loud. I am a huge fan of animal rights and people who care about animals. I do not hunt or kill animals. I don't really have a problem with people that hunt. It's just not something I could do. I can appreciate good clothing and quality things.
Things I do not like or approve of,... racism, sexism, smoking, cursing in front of children, classless attitudes toward waiters or waitresses, and an intolerant attitude toward another person because their beliefs or personal tendencies are different than yours.
I love children. At some point in my life, given the right person come along, I would love to make that happen. I believe that quality relationships take a lot of work to maintain. It's not always going to be winks and giggles. Sometimes life happens. It is my desire to be in a trusting, loving relationship that can bare the brunt of this world when the world is hard and unkind, but then really celebrate the moments in life that make memories and satisfy our passions.
I am financially stable. I work hard every day to maintain that.
I have never tried a website like this and frankly, I am a bit apprehensive.
