I do love down time by going to see live music, going to the movies or at home with a video, dinner out especially in little hole in the wall restaurants that surprise you with the best food.....Though I am passionate about my sports and tend to play hard I certainly can tone it down to adapt to any situation...beyond the sports I am fairly mellow overall. I am definitely spontaneous and since I am self employed the two mesh very well. I am self empoyed as a commercial paleontologist.. I excavate, prepare, buy, sell fossils for my living. I truly love what I do so going to work is actually enjoyable..... most of the time Ha!. I more or less call my own shots so it does allow me a fair amount of flexibility.
I am a true animal lover and that would be all kinds though I restrict myself at this point to two dogs which are both Blue Healers/Australian cattle dogs. They are very well mannered but are also passionate about their sports and need regular activity. They tend to travel with me on a lot of outtings which is great having my best buds with me...but when they see the kayaks or dirt bike come out which is fairly often they tend to bum out a little Ha!
I am definitely single. I do not have an ex or children. I am not dragging a truck load of mental bagage around with me. I am very happy and comfortable with who I am at this point in my life..though I am always trying to better myself since it is just a life process anyway. I am a good communicator but I am not a mind reader so I need that to be a two way street.
I am looking for a women who is adventurous, fit, loves to play in the outdoors as well as dress up now and then. She does not have to be involved in all the sports I am into but at least one would be nice so we have a common playground. Kids are fine...but if you have young ones & want to just stay at home till they grow up some then that probably won't work...if you are willing to put them in a bike carrier, a pack to hike or if they are old enough to put a little ground under their feet then I am good with that..Just don't want a partner who is not willing to get them out there because they think they need to be older ...with discretion of course... She must like animals..at least dogs or that would be an issue.
At the moment my newest passion is I am learning to play the guitar and loving it....definitely dedicated to it though it is coming at it's own slow pace. I'll be glad to seranade you a bit but please don't ask me to sing until you get to know me better..Ha! just kidding.
I do have one addiction.................Stone Cold Creamery..Mmmm.

I live in Broomfield, and work in Boulder as a Graphic Artist. I have 4 children—3 (and a granddaughter) live in Boulder, and the 4th lives in CA. They’re very important to me, and I enjoy spending time with them.
I’ve been in CO for 8 years—lived my entire life in CA prior to that. My first 5 years here were spent living in a log house on 6 acres with horses, chickens and dogs (and, of course, my family). Circumstances made a move to Boulder (and now Broomfield) necessary, but I intend to make my way back to the peace and space of the country eventually.
I love to laugh...love movies...love music (but, not really fond of dancing—I know that’s a deal-breaker for some women)...I love the outdoors...I love smart, meaningful conversation (not too fond of lengthy talks on the phone)...I love physical affection (hand-holding, touching...)...I love baseball. How about a little about me. I love being a dad to my 3 great girls. . So here I am looking for a very special lady. I want to start out as friends, yes you heard me; (a man saying he wants to start out as friends). I love romance but it seems to start to quickly and we loose our focus. So a little hand holding at first, walks in the moom light, some fun invents and we can see where it goes.
My pictures are current I am 6'0 180 lbs soking wet and in pretty good shape. I love to be active, play some tennis, golf really badly, spend most of my summer just being outside.
