I have a dry, sarcastic humor, and at times it's hard to tell if I'm being serious or not, but I promise it grows on you. I have a very fresh personality but my friends and family typically describe me as an old soul. I'm a very frugal individual- I dislike shopping (though I do like meandering about malls to people watch) and am obsessive about saving for a rainy day. I work full-time in client relations and love what I do, and am taking classes during my free time to expand my education. I tend to keep myself pretty busy, but I wouldn't have it any other way. I make it a point to be kind to others. I have always felt that kindness goes a long way and can be the one thing that makes someone's day suck a little less. It's safe to say I'm a pretty firm believer in the "You catch more flies with honey than you do with vinegar" philosophy. Unfortunately, no, this is not my natural hair color.
Reading is by far my favorite pastime. I get lost in books and read everything from mythology to thrillers, fantasy to war dramas. I have always been one to curl up with a good book in my free time, rather than turning on the television. Aside from reading, I have a passion for writing. I've got a few things going right now but have yet to finish any. It will be quite some time before I do. I also like to volunteer when I am able, shoot, hike, and spend as much time with my family as possible. I spend a lot of time at Central Park and Top of the World; I am from the east coast originally and miss all the open space back there, so it's nice to have little pieces of that here. I like exploring new places- though I'd say I'm pretty familiar with California, I still like going for a drive at a moment's notice and finding somewhere new to frequent. But don't worry- I drive pretty well for a woman.
In regards to who I'm looking for, I don't have many qualifications, and I don't think setting up a list of all the characteristics I'd like in a man would prove to be very successful. All I ask if that you are happy, have a decent sense of humor, and a quick wit. Above that, however, I think it is most important that you know what you want in life, you have aspirations and dreams you'd like to achieve, and the gumption to make those goals and dreams become a reality. After all, it's easier to accomplish your goals when you have someone rooting for you.
