It is my experience that one should always lead with the bad news first. So, at the risk of turning you away, brace yourself for my absolute worst. Try as I might, I simply do not have it in me to be that thoughtless troglodytic “bad boy” all women secretly long for. Moreover, it's doubtful that I could ever offer a woman such simple pleasures as a life filled with useless drama, pervasive heartache, and debilitating emotional abuse. Now, undoubtedly this startling confession has left you somewhat shocked and disheartened. However, before you click that back button which your mouse now subconsciously hovers over, all I would ask is that you simply read on, so that you might better weigh my meager pros against these admittedly overwhelming cons.
As I hope is apparent by now, my greatest pro is the simple love of laughter. While admittedly I am drawn to the more sarcastic side of humor, I always strive to keep things rather lite and jovial. In addition to satire, I also excel at many baser pursuits, such as: bringing home a steady paycheck, keeping food on the table, and owning my own house. Additionally, what I lack in the teen heartthrob department, I make up for with rugged charm, unmitigated honesty, nimble wit and a pleasant disposition. I guess you could say I'm just your typical run of the mill enigmatic thirty-something who's tired of, “looking for love in all the wrong places.”
What I'm seeking in you: (Yes, 4 out of 5 is passing, but it's still a borderline C. And you know you're better then that!)
1) Chemistry.
Because let's face it, in relationships, there's no such thing as, “fake it 'til you make it”.
2) Fidelity.
Call me old fashion, but if 1's lonely and 2's company, then 3 must be: heartache, fist fits, and a lot of lawyer's fees.
3) Intelligence.
You may be Aphrodite incarnate, but if you can't cobble together a coherent thought, your 9 just became a 2.
4) Modesty.
I get the whole slutty Halloween thing, but if it takes you 2 hairdos to wear a skirt, then maybe Jersey Shore is more your style.
5) Realistic Expectation.
The key to any successful relationship is sustained mutual effort not daily self-indulgence. Like George Santayana
once said, "Fun is a good thing, but only when it spoils nothing better."
Well, if you made it this far then, "good on ya!" Personally, I quit paying attention once it started getting all preachy around bullet point 4. Just kidding. I was riveting from start to finish, wouldn't you agree? ;-). Going out to bars and trying to meet someone and strike up a conversation in a bar while you are yelling at each other just isn’t my thing.
I like going out to dinner and trying new cuisines but I like making dinner myself too. Yes, my mom taught me how to cook ladies.
One thing I have done a lot of in the past was travel, and have not done it in forever, and would like someone to travel with to any destination our hearts desire.
