Grew up mostly in the midwest and moved to Arizona in 1980. I've spent most of my last 30 years here except for the 2-1/2 years in San Diego (which I loved). My father was an air-traffic controller for 32 years so we moved around thoughout my growing up years. I had wonderful parents and a great upbringing.
I feel that I'm fairly intelligent and have a great sense of humor. Commonsense is a strong trait of mine. I love to be casual, but also like to dress up. I like to travel. IРІР‚в„ўm very social and have wonderful friends (both male and female). IРІР‚в„ўm easy to get along with, but IРІР‚в„ўm a very strong and confident individual. I've always been able to survive on my own. I enjoy being alone or being around a crowd of people. I love to fish, sail, walk, go for rides (cars or motorcycles), hike, play golf, go to baseball or football games and, yes.....I like watching sports on TV. I played sports growing up and am proud to say that my softball team went to the nationals. I also played volleyball and belonged to a working womenРІР‚в„ўs golf league back in Illinois, although I haven't played in quite some time now. Wouldn't be hard for me to pick it up again as I really enjoyed it.
I have a dog and a cat at the present time and donРІР‚в„ўt plan on getting any additional animals. IРІР‚в„ўm a social drinker and like a variety of drinks. I'm young at heart for my age and don't have any physical problems except the normal things you acquire as you get older. I have two step-children from my previous marriage that I love very much and IРІР‚в„ўm still in close contact. I also have a granddaughter and grandson. I donРІР‚в„ўt feel the need to constantly be involved in their lives, but will always be there for my kids if they need me. I have a job where I'm in constant contact with people and travel quite allot during the week. I do like music and like going to concerts. Hope this gives you some idea of who I am. Looking for special someone who is warm, caring, sincere, honest, even tempered, easy going, family values and oriented, affectionate as I am and not afraid to show it, young at heart and likes to stay active. I love to workout so a workout partner would be great but not manditory. Love the outdoors (especially when cooler), b-b-q-ing, gardening, walking, socializing (never to many friends), a fire in the fireplace in winter, relaxing with a nice glass of wine talking with the one I love, and so much more. I love the water and beaches! So what am I doing in AZ? I decided to try a new venue. I really loved living downtown Chicago and miss the ease of hailing a taxi to a play or concert. It was so easy to take a 10 minute walk to lake Michigan and stroll the water front. I would like someone to enjoy exploring the sites in AZ or any where for that matter. I've enjoyed traveling the US and Europe. When you meet a loving partner it doesn't matter where you are, just enjoy life.
I find that people with hobbies and interests, that can laugh and enjoy life with or without a partner are the most fun to be around. I can be my own best friend or someone's partner. I enjoy being in small and large groups. It really doesn't matter.
