. I am not a kid any more but some times I feel like I am. I live alone and that’s no fun. When I think of dating it worries me as I’m not so easy to get to know. I am a no frills kind of man. I have been a bronk rider, dude wrangler, construction worker, cabinet maker, contractor, teacher, ranch hand, and artist and now I’m retired except for the art. I have 3 kids all grown and gone. My pictures are pretty recent, however am working on getting some new ones beings I have lost 58-lbs this past year. Went from 224-lbs to 167-lbs, a size 46" waist to a 34" waist. With the exercises I do, the supplements I take, I am in great shape for a young 74-year man. Spent over 6 hours at the Arizona Heart Institute for a check up and my Dr. said I should live to be a very old man. Hope he is right..
I enjoy a good joke, love telling them, have a great sense of humor, quick wit and good personality. At first I may seem a little shy but once you get to know me, I warm up.
Spent the biggest part of my working career in the private sector of Law Enforcement with the exception of 4-years in the U. S. Navy. The ship I served on for 3 1/2 years is now a museum in San Diego, the USS Midway and have been back aboard several times re-living old memories. If you haven't toured it you should. It is quite a ship. While in the security business, I was chosen to supervise the personal body guard detail for the Monkees, on their Summer 1967 tour. Visited Paris, London and 35 cities in the United States. On a sad note, my friend, Davy Jones, passed away a few months back and that was tough to take. He was only 66 and one of the most caring individuals I have ever met.
Taking a break from my career, I owned and operated a company called 'Eastern Onion Singing Telegrams' for 18 years and during that time developed their mascot, 'The Gorilla' of which I got absolutely no compensation for. Another story. I wrote and published my memoirs in 2007 and am so glad I did because once you are gone, so are your stories.
