I was born, raised and attended college in South Dakota, lived in Italy for two years while in the Air Force (toured Europe playing basketball for the Air Force), lived in the beautiful Maryland countryside and worked in the Washington DC area for 25 years, retired from a Defense Dept. Agency and then moved to Arizona to be near friends and family. I love Arizona. I am divorced with no children but family is very important to me. Mom, two brothers and their families all live within 15 miles of where I live. My other brother and his family live in Minnesota in the summer and Florida during the winter. I do have two step-children that I love dearly. They live back East. I am blessed with many close friends. Meet single man from United States. I'm a retired Airline Pilot after a nice 39 year career, and still enjoy occasional travel , even though I'm not getting paid for it anymore. I certainly have lots of hours on me in those long- silver tubes. I have the facial lines to prove it. They must be experience lines, not age lines of course. I've been pressurized too often.
I had a great career and would still be doing that , but Federal age limits rule in airline business(only), so they finally kicked me out. I'm one of the lucky ones, who really enjoyed what he did for a living, and never hated going to work. 'When you're too lazy to work, and too nervous to steal, you fly for a living. '
I also flew/fly at times, when I want, seasonal, the large Fire Tankers since my airline retirement, dropping retardants on those wildfires in Calif, and AZ. Definately not fun flying, but a part time in -demand occupation. It allowed me to stay in the large aircraft , and help those folks below to save their homes. I just may do some more of that during the fire season now.I just call and put myself back on the list with that phone call. Other than the previous, I still pilot for pleasure once in a while.
I like to travel often to Hawaii and the Pacific, a which is easy to do, and still one of my favorite spots which I never get tired off. I still believe the best seafood is right there also, especially in Hawaii. I know lots of good places. I'm a beach lover, and love the water.
The nice easy pace of the Pacific is a winner in my book. Very relaxing and beautiful for sure .

I moved here to North Scottsdale ,7 years ago, in 2005, from Napa, California, after 36 years there. I'm not a snowbird. Bought one of those 'fixer-upers' here in a decent area. Still lots to do to it, as it doesn't ever end as we all know. It nice and comfortable so far. It's a casual but clean house.
Took me a couple years here to acclimate to the summers(especially during monsoon humidity) like most of us.
I still travel every now and then to the San Francisco Bay area to cool off, as I have family and friends still there. Before Napa, I lived in Walnut Creek, Ca, South Florida, and the western suburbs of Chicago. Also, lived in Newport Beach, Ca for a short time in the 80's, and ,I lived in Hawaii , many times, when I was based there , on and off, with the airline. Kept a place there off and on during those times, but always kept my home in Napa, also.
I grew up in the western suburbs of Chicago, when it was a nice place to live and with good schools. Moved out at age 21. Still have many school friends back there I hear from, and a couple of them I hadn't seen in 45-plus years, visited me here recently. They(the alumni) are planning a 55 year reunion in 4 years, and I plan on attending. Should be fun, as my class alumni has remained very active with many events back there, all these years. I missed the 50th..
I have a nice life, and will have no problem sharing it with the right lady. I have been divorced 8 years now, and we had a 'nice' divorce. I have NO baggage from that divorce..NONE.

. Hello ladies. First off, I would like to say that I am still searching for my special lady, one who is my best friend and likes to do things together with her guy. I am fairly laid back and somewhat of an old fashioned type of guy. I love being in the mountains with the tall pines and spruces. Lived my whole life in the mountains.
