I enjoy the outdoors and all the activities associated with same. Since I live alone, I'm fairly self-sufficient. I enjoy cooking and photography. I'm no couch-potato - blame that on the A.D.D.. Hiking, kayaking, traveling - these are things I enjoy and do whenever I can. I even have a little dog Coco who shares these adventures with me.
What am I looking for in a companion? Someone who is grounded. Who is secure within herself. Someone who enjoys the simple things life has to offer. Someone who is willing to let a relationship grow and mature at its own pace. Someone who wants good company, and, in turn, is good company. Have taught "at risk" junior high, Middle School Science in a girls prep school, and Elem..Sci.Ed. to teachers in the past...and spent twenty plus summers wandering between Kilauea,Denali,Katahdin,and Tikal as a "purveyor of playful pets"(toys). Have done NGO recycling projects in SE Asia and once upon a time lived in Dharamsala, India for 3 months teaching handcrafts. Took Bodhisattva training...and have been struggling to be dispassionately compassionate, minimally attached, and humbly self-centered ever since.
RECENTLY~ Have been spending winters doing maintenance, landscaping, creating rustic furniture and household furnishings, and puttering with nature crafts at my place in Arizona.... Could become an Earthwatch volunteer come winter...Would be fun but it hasn't happened yet!...Senses.. hearing sight smell taste,stamina,desire,and joints in decline. Life has been an impassioned hobby...It's time to settle down and develop a one-on-one partnership...I expect to continue being a nestbuilding-enabler-enhancer-dancer type person... Still desire to keep on with the right livelihood danceathon and leave a small beautiful footprint...
Somewhere between the alleged "good" life and the so called "simple" life, do you suppose there could be a joyous mutually supportive space and a peaceful, ethical, uncomplicated lifestyle for us???...

A GOOD MATCH~Bi-pedal would probably be best... Probably not bigger than I am would be safest. No great expectations or traumas to overcome..Intelligent, honest, ethical, communicative, and beautiful inside and/or outside might somehow be significant.
