I am a independent, happy person looking for someone to spend time with. While I am a quiet person, I love to laugh, I have a quirky sense of humor I enjoy the simple things in life, but I also have traveled to many interesting places. I enjoy board games, playing cards, music (go figure!), and computer games (nerd at heart). My youngest is living with me while he takes his college classes.
I think chemistry is important in a long term relationship, but sometimes it doesn't happen at first meeting. Haven't you had that "ahah!" moment before when you look at someone you have known for awhile and see them in a new light? I would like to meet someone that can converse without debating, can agree to disagree on issues, and is kind and thoughtful to others. I value honesty, loyalty, and a sense of honor. Did I mention a sense of humor? I am not big on judging people by their outside looks, the "insides" of a person is what will last for a lifetime, regardless of what happens during our journey here. This is what will lead us to believe we are right for each other or not. Acceptance of who we each are is only common sense. At this stage of life, why would we try to change someone else? Keep an open mind, an open eye and just enjoy what someone has to offer!
I just recently have become a "gym rat". I cannot say that I enjoy the working out, but I do like the people I meet there, the feeling that I have accomplished something difficult for that day, and the effect that it is having on my body and my health. My goal is to finish a half marathon next year. Keep in mind that I say "finish", no mention that I will run the entire way or even place in the top 99%. I have never ever been a runner in my life... let's just see where this might take me. After all, we are all a "work in progress" all our lives!
I always work Sundays and I make a point of not staying up late on Saturdays so that I have the energy to make it thru a (sometimes) 14 hour day the next day. I also work Easter and Christmas Eve. You are welcome to join me there, but keep in mind... these are my biggest days. Picture a Super Bowl day for a sports team... that's my equivalent. Yes, I do work too much, but give me a reason to spend more time off!
