I'm a fairly resent widower, who watched his love of 26 years, slowly die of cancer. The experience has taught me to want the most, out of the time that I have left.
I have 6 children; all but one, are on their own now. That just leave me and my 16 year old daughter at home.
I'm an IT consultant that specializes in manufacturing information. I lived in New England and traveled the world, for most of my career. But, being a single parent now, I've taken a position at a local manufacturer, so I can be home ever night, for my daughter.
I enjoy the beach, traveling, and cycling (yes, I'm the nerd with a computer/GPS on my bike).
I’ve always been the guy that other guys hate; because their wives and girlfriends say, why can’t you be more like him. The advice that I give to my sons (which took me a long time to learn) is; “You don’t always need to fix her problems, when she's having a bad day. Just be there to listen. Sometimes holding her in your arm and saying nothing, is worth more than anything that you can say or do”.
It's been a year and a half since my wife passed. My daughters told me, the other day, that I need to get on with my life. So, I figured that I would give this a try.

I really never thought that I'd be looking to meet someone through an internet dating site. But with work and day to day life, there don't seem to be a lot of other opportunities, so I'm giving it a try.
