I am a proud alum of UAB and support my Blazers whenever and wherever I can. I have a lovely puppy named Alex who means everything to me...therefore, my ideal guy must love dogs (very cliche' I suppose). He would also be fun-loving, outgoing, and spontaneous. He would feel comfortable going out or just staying in to watch a movie. He would be educated and competitive as well.
Being new to the Livingston area, I am interested in getting out to see what the area has to offer. My perfect match would certainly have to be a good guy who is not interested in playing games and breaking hearts. I'm certainly looking for friendship, but after many years of independent living, am also open for a long term relationship if I find the right guy. He would have strong family values and strong morals. This does not mean he is politically conservative necessarily. My match would have a very natural sense of humor, making me smile and laugh without even trying. I don't do drama, as I've had way too much of that in my work environment over the years, so my match should not be someone who gets caught up in local gossip.
I have a very interesting occupation in Higher Education, where I work in Housing and Residential Life. This means that I won't always have a traditional work day, having to work nights and weekend at times, even when it isn't convenient. I sometimes get called in the middle of the night as well. With my experience in non-traditional work environments, I am understanding of others who may be in similar situations.
Overall, I have high standards for my match, but also feel that I have much to offer him. I strongly believe that there is someone out there for everyone, so I'm hoping that I find my someone soon.
