I'd like to find a sweet, honest, hard-working man with a good sense of humor to spend the rest of my life with. I would prefer to spend time with a man who enjoys at least some of the things I like, such as sports, home projects, movies, camping, playing board games/dominoes, etc. I am basically a homebody, but I will take a vacation at least once or twice a year and go away for weekend excursions here and there. I'm content most of the time to stay home and do things around the house, like work in the yard, home improvement projects, etc. If you like to be on the go most of the time, I'm probably not for you. I'm not a couch potato, but I do enjoy my home, and it would be nice to have someone to come home to.
I am very outgoing around other people, but I do enjoy spending time alone or with the one I love. Most important to me in a relationship are honesty and humor and a good work ethic. I live a pretty simple life, and it doesn't take a lot to make me happy. If I have enough income to pay all my bills, go out to eat once or twice a week, go shopping occasionally, and take a vacation or two every year, I feel I'm doing fine and am probably better off than a lot of others around me. I would consider myself low maintenance. All the "stuff" we buy and accumulate in our lives here on this earth is just that....stuff. We're only borrowing it for a short time, and then it's there for someone else to have to deal with when we're gone from this life. So if accumulating lots of land and money and material possessions is important to you, don't be upset if I'm not impressed or don't want to get on board. Don't get me wrong, it's nice to be able to afford certain luxuries for which we've worked hard to obtain, but I don't require much. God has blessed me with good health, a decent job, good friends and family, and so much more than I deserve.
I would prefer that my mate like dogs, or at least tolerate them. I have two miniature dachshunds who are indoors most of the time, but they let themselves in and out of their doggy door, so I don't necessarily have to hurry home from work and let them out. I have lots of interests, and I'll tell you more about them when we meet. Thanks for reading my profile.

Meet people from Alabama, United States. I'm not sure how my friends would describe me. Most of them would probably say I'm a little nutty, but funny nutty. I tend to be shy when around someone new. But once I get to know you, not so much (lol). I am grateful for my children no matter how much they drive me crazy. I am passionate about my grandchildren and want to pass down love of family. Two of my grandchildren do live with me full time, a 4 and 5 -yar-old (girls).. My greatest wish is that they all love one another and never forget their bond to each other. And that they always believe there is nothing they cannot accomplish. Of note, I have 3 grown daughters and 5 granddaughters, so you must really like to be around girls!! I don't want to be someone's part time, down time, or option. I want to be the one thing some special guy can't live without. Even at 47 I still think the fairytale is out there. And, one other thing you guys should know... I am a not a petite woman. I don't know if you can tell that by my photo. I am told you really can't, so I want to put that out there. But I am so much more than you see so never judge a book by its cover. I love the beach. Obviously I do like to socialize on the internet a little as well. I like to read true crime novels (my favorite author is Ann Rule). I like to go out to the movies and love to swim. And as I said I am definitely looking for Mr. Right, not Mr. Right Now.
