I am 46 years old and have a career in sports medicine, I travel a good bit these days doing contract services as the double whammy of Ivan and Katrina left my partners and I at the mercy of our insurance company and the economy, we have battled both and guns a blazing will win yet, or if not there is always the famous list scene from Butch Cassidy and the Sundance kid. Which means that I am kind of a modern Nomad, however I sleep in condos and nice hotels and not tents in the desert.
Who am I, I am extremely passionate about my career, music, good wine, tasty drinks and weekend escapes. I have worked with professional athletes, entertainers and just everyday people in my chosen path. I am known to play an instrument from time to time, I sing karaoke if the venue is right and the atmosphere is good, and OK, if drinks are available, and I am known to write as well. If that last line has you rolling your eyes, don't worry, I also drive fast, well at times LOL, function my best at light speed with my hair on fire, don't back down from any challenge and can be a prankster at times, you know the fun kind that is impossible to hate. If life were a documentary or movie, I would be a the mysterious one, not sure if good or bad, but the one that you root for no matter what. The romantic Southern Gentleman that is still fun and adventurous.
I am also the Father that my kids look up to and know they are protected and taken care of no matter what. The coach of many sports over the years for my kids and many others, the friend who will stand with someone when the odds are insurmountable, just because it is the right thing to do.

I love taking the boat out to one of the barrier islands for a fun and relaxing weekend, there is just something about stepping out onto the sand, feeling the warmth surround your feet, then after enjoy the warmth of the sun for a while, walking into the cool and soothing water to cool off a bit. Ending the day with a little fire on the beach, maybe a bottle or two of chilled wine and cooking some fresh seafood while watching the sun slowly sink into the sea off to the west, then laying back on a big beach blanket and watching as the stars slowly blanket the sky. There is something very amazing and peaceful about sleeping out on the boat, the slow rocking of the waves putting you to sleep and then waking to the smell of fresh coffee brewing and hearing the gulls overhead that just starts the day off in a magical way.
What else, I grew up on the coast and live on the coast and I have a deep love of the ocean. I think eventually I will just buy my own island in the tropics and build a tree house. Maybe not a lean to, but something from Swiss Family Robinson. I hope to retire early and travel the coast and tropics in sailboat discovering all there is to see and do.
