I was conceived in the Haight-Ashbury section of San Francisco in the mid-1960’s and I think a small relic of that wild and heady era has lodged itself permanently in my soul. I have, however, through much pondering and life experience, developed a deep appreciation for many of the more “traditional” cultural attitudes that preceded the freedom-loving �60’s. I guess you could describe me as a “conservative free-spirit.” I am stable and traditional in my lifestyle and job and completely free and uncensored in my mind and artwork. I think that a healthy moral consciousness is terribly absent in our society today. And I don’t mean some rigid dogmatic code... I try very hard to follow “the golden rule”. Despite the fact that I have been out of school a long time, I try to read and learn and keep my mind nimble! I absolutely adore movies, especially foreign and off-beat films. Some of my favorites are “Fanny and Alexander,” “Harold and Maude,” and “Wings of Desire.” I love many different kinds of music, probably primarily ethnic, then pop or folk rock, then classical. I think Madonna and Eminem are brilliant. I enjoy theatre, Shakespeare’s my favorite, I l also love Tennessee Williams and musicals. Artists I admire include Frida Kahlo, Van Gogh, Picasso, and Salvador Dali. I’m not into the sports craze of this country. I am looking for someone who is a thinker like me and who has a good heart. I need a man that I can talk to about a wide variety of subjects. I never want to be bored! Someone who has a healthy work ethic and enjoys his job but also has a sense of humor and is able to appreciate life. I’d like a guy who makes intellectual and physical pursuits a priority. I have been an accountant for 25 years but don't fit the stereotype. I have also coached a co-ed high school cheer team for 8 years and have also been their choreographer. You could say that I have a gift when it comes to dealing with teenagers.
