I enjoy being active, up for just about anything. I am also fine with hanging out on the couch and watching movies. I like going out without an agenda, drinking a few beers, and having a good time (As opposed to a bad time?!). I run almost everyday with my head phones blasting and feel incomplete when I don't break a sweat on my busy days. Depending on my mood I listen to music ranging from classic rock and country to heavy metal. I am a big fan of talented musicians and love going to concerts.
I enjoy life no matter what I am doing and I believe life is the journey, not just the destination. No, I am not carrying any disease, it is a funny story that I will explain if we are in contact. I am a 35 year old, single father of the most amazing 9 year old on the planet. I am generally happy, gainfully employed, love my friends and family, love to laugh, but am missing that one piece to the puzzle, so I joined match to see if I could possibly encounter "the one". I have a dark sense of humor and would like someone who can appreciate it. I make jokes about, well, everything, and I am frequently the target of my own jokes. Living life has taught me alot of lessons, some of the grueling, but most of all I have learned that if you want something you need to try the best you can to have it. I have learned that the word is the most powerful thing a man has, if I say I am going to do it, I am, or atleast give it my all (I always say i will climb to the top of the rock wall but that damn button is just out of reach).
As far as a match goes, I would like to meet a person who can be self-sufficient, and not need me to lead their lives (Co-Dependancy is a drain on both people). I want someone to walk beside me, not that expects me to lead or follow. Life is a battle, and there is a better chance of survival when you have backup. A person who is faithful, honest, and believes in monogamy. Overall I am just looking to be happy. There are alot of things that I may or may not be looking for but I figure I will know it if I find it. A couple of things I can positively say I don't need/want: Drama...If there is a psychotic Ex that will be found outside my house at 3am, I can pass. Also, Mental Health Issues: I really like theme parks, but Emotional Rollercoasters are about as much fun as chewing glass (Unless of course you like to chew glass, but I think that leads back to the whole "No Mental Health Issues" thing)

Since i'm at work over half my life I guess i'll start there. I work in the Alaska oildfields, the North Slope ( where the Ice Road Truckers make their drops for you reality tv fans) as a well service tech for a native corporation. I've been working up here for over ten years, over six with the same company. I work a two week on two week off schedule so i'm gone at least half the year commuting back and forth to Alaska . I do enjoy my job and the challenges of working in the Arctic Oilfields.
I am a proud parent of two young boys, 5 and 13 who live with their mother in Alaska. Its never a dull moment when I have them, all three of us speak fluent sarcasm and have about the same sense of humor. Your parents ever put that curse on you when you were young? " when you have children I hope they're just like you!" Yeah well, it worked they got their wish. And I couldn't be happier :-) Along with my boys my parents are very important to me. I am very close with my family. My only complaint would be they live to embarrass the hell out of me. I'm pretty sure its payback for my teen years and their gray hair.
I've lived in Alaska for most of the last 30 years and have decided to move to Arizona for a fresh start and a new adventure. Gladly exchanging the two Alaska seasons, winter and almost winter for Arizonas two seasons, almost summer and oh my god I think my skin is going to melt off! Try to even things out a bit!
I'm a bit of a gearhead. I love fast cars and big trucks. I just bought a 09 Wrangler and I just love it! Im a sucker for Detroit iron especially from 65-72.
I enjoy watching all kinds of movies and I'm even secure enough to even enjoy "chick flicks"(yes, im straight) I would prefer a romantic comedy over a tear jerking drama but I'm good with just about anything. I'm a huge fan of comedies! Especially the ones with great quotes. Tommy boy, hangover, ect. Or a good stand up comedian. Can't wait to visit some live shows!
What else? Well I speak in movie/funny quotes I've heard, humorous sarcasm, and cuss like a sailor. All three I can keep under control when needed (around children or parents :-).
I play guitar but not very well, I like games, card, board, video ect. I like to curl up on the couch or go out on the town. Always up for a road trip or exploring some place new. I love good morning texts, the cool side of the pillow, and cooking. Although I'm not afraid of getting dirty personal hygiene is important! Unless I'm camping I HAVE to take a shower everyday!
