So, a little about me...
First, aside from all the expected chaos associated with having two kids, a career, and being a part time student, I believe I live a fairly uncomplicated life and try to enjoy all the simple pleasures life has to offer. I believe in living my life by the golden rule and extend to all that I meet the courtesy and respect that they deserve. I try not to take life too seriously. As life is too short and I truly feel it was meant to be enjoyed, I tend to take all my cues from the situations I encounter. I can be silly and light hearted just as easily as I can be serious and intense…it just depends on what the situation warrants. I’m comfortable in most situations and am flexible enough to be able to go from jeans and a tee-shirt during a day of hiking or a trip to the stadium, to getting dressed to the hilt for a night on the town. I am outgoing, but upon first meeting, you will find I’m somewhat quiet and a little on the shy side. Rest assured this is not my natural state of being and will subside as I get to know you.
I have two wonderful children. One that still lives at home and one that left the nest to spread her wings. They truly are my greatest pleasures and a testament to my life. Over the years I have spent the majority of my energy raising them to become viable members of the world. But as they get older and their reliance on me lessens, the time has come for me to step back out into the world. I am stable, strong and independent, and content with my life. I do, however, feel that there is something missing...that special someone to share my life with.

As I am a romantic at heart…walks under starlit skies, holding hands and snuggling really strike my fancy. I’m a sucker when it comes to good company, a great conversation, good coffee, wine and food. Although I’m not too much into the bar scene, I do like to go out every now and then because I love to dance and have a passion for karaoke. Also I love anything having to do with the great outdoors and nature and am always open to new and exciting things.
What I am looking for…
Basically I am interested in a LTR but I am not interested in just jumping into one. I think taking the time to really get to know each other and what makes us tick is really important and half the fun of being in any relationship. There are some things that I look for initially: If you can be yourself (I think people spend far too much time and energy either trying to be something they're not or trying to mold their partner into what they want them to be. The true individual is so much more interesting, so please...Just be you), be honest (if honesty doesn't exist in a relationship, what is the point?) and be articulate (I really enjoy a good conversation.) So...Intrigue my mind and the rest will follow), then I'd say you'd be off to a pretty good start. But beyond that...let's just say we'll leave the rest to fate.
