My kids are teens and early 20s. They are independent but are my focus. I am extremely proud of them but know their faults as well. Family means alot to me.

By now, most of you will be running. Oh well, that's the way it goes. And the picture was taken 2 years ago. My kids say I need to change it....I say, I like it. It stays. I haven't changed much in 2 years.
. I am an independent lady that has a variety of interests and am willing to try a few new ones. I like to fish,camp,and work in the garden in the summer. I also like to get out hiking and exploring nature, sometimes I like to just sit and watch in wonder at the beauty of nature. As I get older I find I value listening to the quiet sounds of the woods and watching birds fly up to my feeders. I try to stay fit but am not perfect. In the winter I like to cross-country ski but have done the snowmachining trip as well. My kids keep me pretty busy but they're getting older and probably wouldn't mind Mom getting out of the house and off their backs about chores and homework. I also enjoy movies,listening to music, reading,and doing projects around the house. I offer honesty, unfailing loyalty to those I trust and call my friend, can stand on my own two feet, try to give and take in equal measure , I look at situations as hoping for the best but preparing for the worst. I have learned how fragile life can be and how it takes only a second to irrevocably change everything, so it's not worth the investment of the minutes, hours and days of my life to be in a relationship that only makes the people involved miserable. I keep hearing that there's someone out there for me, and I'd like to think of myself as a cautiously optimistic but admit that discouragement is taking it's toll on the optimism. I can offer intelligent conversation about subjects other than my latest shopping trip. I think that the best part of a story is the unexpected as long as no one is hurt. I'm calm in a crisis, try hard not to sweat the little things. So, if this interests you e-mail and I may tell you more.I'm beginning to think that these dating sites are a work of fiction for all the answers I've received. It's just some clever kind of ruse. But if there were some one thinking of answering my ad they need to be honest, kind, compassionate, like kids and animals, relatively sane, hard-working, mostly active and who doesn't have problems with their poisons. You'd have to be someone who is emotionally stable and able to share those emotions with someone else and be looking to enhance their life with a relationship instead of shoring them up; a man not afraid to act the gentleman but not threatened by an independent sort of girl. I enjoy being treated like a lady as long as you remember I have the heart of a tomboy, and someone who knows what the better part of valor is about. I'd like to meet someone willing to allow for separate as well as shared interests.
