For the past three months before moving to Alaska I was backpacking around Southeast Asia and Japan (got stuck in Tokyo during the earthquake). Anyway, I started the trip with a friend from school but spent the majority of traveling with people I met along the way. I still keep in close contact with the people I traveled through Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, and Cambodia to this day.
In Alaska, I will be working on a 2 weeks on/2 weeks off shift in Prudhoe Bay. As such, I will have 6 months of vacation every year and I intend to make the most out of my time off. I plan to explore Alaska in its entirety in addition to visiting other countries during my weeks off so hopefully some one will want to join me on my adventures!

Before sports I had always been bouncing off of the walls, my parents did not know what to do with me (not like through me on the street or anything). I was also getting into a lot of trouble at school so I could not play outside (I was like 6 or 7) after school and that was a problem because I have ADHD so I really need to get some energy out before I go to bed or else I stay up all night. So if I go to bed late I won’t be ready to get up for school and I when I do get up I would be really tired. When I am tired I don’t pay attention in school and that makes me get bad grades, which is bad. So my parents stopped that problem at the source and signed me up for soccer. Soccer was my first sport and during soccer I had been getting better at schoolwork and understanding it more. My second sport was softball. That as also hard

I'm generally not big on camping/hunter anymore, and I'm probably interested in just about anything people consider 'nerdy.' I've recently taken up martial arts, love to take my truck into the hills and find old trails, and honestly, I'd probably say my active interests change from month to month. Lately I've been watching a lot of big bang theory in my free time. Right now I work full time while taking 8 credits at UAF, and while I don't mind being single, I'm -really- shy with new people, and I want someone to go out with and do stuff with on weekends.
As for what I'm looking for? I'm generally flexible, something friendly to start, maybe move into a serious relationship if the attraction was there. Similar interests, or at least a curious mind. Someone independent, at least a little stubborn, and strong willed is a good thing. People get along better if they can butt heads over stuff once in a while, I think. I'm honestly not sure what else to add here, I like to think of myself as generally a nice guy, though I do like to tease and poke fun (of course, I expect it in return), I have a slightly dark sense of humor, and that probably sums me up.

im very passionate about food and having fun and i dont care to watch much t.v. (note-i ALWAYS argue with the characters in the movies, tv shows, ect. so fair warning!). i should also mention that im very sarcastic and expect it in others too.
my favorite person is my nephew and im planning on taking him out to explore valdez this summer. despite having live in valdez for nearly 20 - years, i never learned to snowboard or skii since there is never enough time in the day to sleep ;) (im a night owl). if any girl wants to come show me how, thompson pass is only 30 minutes away with an elevation of over 2000 ft. come summer though ill be busting my butt working and fishing in my off time so i cant wait!
