Interesting facts: I have tinnitus in my left ear, sometimes my jaw clicks when I chew, and I get weird muscle twitches on my knees, wrists, and the back of my neck. I'm pretty sure that means I'm going to die soon. Oh, and I also recently developed a bone spur on my left palm. My body sucks.
Anyway, I have developed a fool-proof method of determining to what extent a relationship will become a lifetime marriage. Are you ready for this? It's pretty awsm.
I've observed quite the number of couples who are happily married or are getting married soon, and they all have one thing in common: they love to humiliate the other person at any opportunity.
Example: Jill is bending over getting something out of her purse. Jack sees this as a good opportunity to tackle her and put her in a headlock. two possible results ensue:
1) Jill becomes quite enraged at this act of debauchery, and starts screaming and whining about her hair getting caught on something.
2) Jill sees this as an opportunity to counter Jack's tomfoolery, and reverses his headlock into one of her own.
I'm convinced that if a girl is cool with me tackling her, putting her in a headlock, or powerbombing her through a table WWE style and thinks it's funny, then she's worth hanging around. I've seen this happen (not the table thing, that would be barbaric), and it is consistent. THIS IS SCIENCE.
You see, all men want to be able to have at least one person who is cool with rough housing. It's an activity that becomes banned in civil order past the age of eight, and that is simply unacceptable. Being able to engage in spontaneous acts without any whining or complaining reveals several things about the girl:
1) She has a personality greater than a box of rocks
2) She welcomes the unexpected and can thrive and flourish when the unexpected arrives
3) She isn't confined within what society deems to be acceptable behavior in a relationship.
Now, I'm not saying that I went around dropkicking my ex-girlfriends in the face (OR AM I??), but knowing that your partner isn't a lifeless slug is a plus.
Of course, humiliation isn't just about asserting one's physical superiority over his/her partner. It's definitely verbal as well.
Let's say that you're playing a game together. There's absolutely no reason the actual goal of the game shouldn't be to verbally assault your partner at all opportunity.
Example: The game is Clue. Jack thinks Col. Mustard killed Miss Scarlett in the Ballroom with the Lead Pipe. Jill's reaction is:
1) *simply shows Jack the lead pipe card*, and the next turn starts
2) *shows him the card* "OMG JACK, you're such a retard. I hate you."
3) *the actions of #2 take place, AND Jill skillfully throws the card at Jack, giving him an awsm paper cut on his cheek. Stupid Jack, pick better next time*
Of course, responses #2 and #3 are borderline schizophrenic behavior, but at least some life is thrown into the activity.
Any other examples of humiliation usually occur during conversations with friends. Anytime your significant other is talking, you absolutely must roll your eyes or scoff at his/her comments. This is especially useful if the guy is partially overstating his accomplishments (always) or trying to look cool in the group (always). We expect our women to stand up and show the world we are full of it. Otherwise, we will slowly morph into narcissistic sociopaths unsuitable for human interaction. This must take place to thwart our idiocy.
If you're still reading this (you aren't), then you probably think I'm
1) Insane
2) Creeper
3) Mentally unstable
And you'd probably be right about that, but there's always a chance that it's all the other guys you ever went out with that were mentally defective.
