Seriously though, as you read through this please understand that this is all with confidence and not with arrogance. Arrogance is very unattractive and I do my best to remain humble.
I'm a professor and a professional musician. My career has given me the opportunity to travel and see some pretty amazing things and have counted each of them as a privelege and a blessing.
I love the water, boating, jet skiing (I can't ski at all - but can fall off of a tube with the best of 'em) - kayaking, just being on the water. Me and the woods/mountains get along well. Cabin or tent it doesn't really matter. I'll take a roadtrip on a whim and have frequently. During the summer, I typically make my own schedule so roadtrips or a long distance date is not a problem (within reason)
What makes me smile? A good challenge, sharp/quick wit, intelligent conversation, helping people and seeing other people help people. What am I grateful for? Faith, Family, my Dogs and Fun. All of those are extremely important to me. Laughter is a pretty cool gift too. What types of things make me laugh out loud? Um... Funny Stuff!?!?
My relationship with God is deeply personal and faith is a consistent part of life.
There is one thing about me that many people find hard to deal with and it is that I can be quiet. Quiet or silence doesn't bother me, usually means I'm in deep thought. If there is someone to talk with that offers intelligent conversation then I have no problem talking, laughing, sharing and the most important part, listening.
What am I looking for? The first thing is - Someone that wants to have some fun with no immediate obligations or expectations. The second... I'm a believer in the chemistry thing, however, have a mildly different philosophy about it than most people. Let's see if I can explain it... The chemistry used to create the Atomic bomb is very powerful and once the bright, hot flash of light happens, catastrophe happens right after. The chemistry used to send the space shuttle into space is a slow and powerful burning with no explosion or devastation. I want chemistry to be a slow, long lasting burn, not an immediate explosion and then it's over. I'm very patient and always willing to stick around for a while just to see what may be around the corner. Third and most important, I'm looking for someone that has a range of communication, someone that can tell me how their day was and listen to how my day was, and also be able to have a passionate spiritual conversation without being judgmental.
