I don't really have time to go out much and it's hard to meet new people so I figured I would give this a shot. I'm not expecting a serious relationship right away but I think it would be cool to meet someone with similar interests to get to know. Like most, I was apprehensive to even get on Match to begin with but a friend of mine met a really sweet girl on here so I figured why not, might as well use whatever technology is available to meet new people.
Appearance is definitely important to me but I really do value personality over looks all day any day. I'm really attracted to intelligence and a sense of humor/sarcasm and I'm really turned off by someone who can't even use "their" and "there" and "too" and "to" correctly in a sentence. Sorry if that sounds picky, I'm really not very picky at all in general, but I consider myself to be well above average intelligence and I'd like to be with someone with at least an average intellect.
As hopeless romantic-esque as it sounds, I would love to meet someone I could be my true self around and have full trust in. And if she happens to be able to play an instrument and/or sing well, I'm done for...:)

I also enjoy movies (Netflix junkie), reading, staying fit, being on the water (would love to live on a lake one day), trying new restaurants, and beating hapless victims at pool.

I came to Alabama because of the military. Sometimes my schedule can be a little unpredictable and I travel frequently for training. If you are looking for someone who is settled or are the "needy" type (I really don't like using that term but a more tactful one escapes me as I type this) then I'm probably not a good option. If you are looking for someone who is active, honest, is equally comfortable with fine dining or backyard BBQ's, appreciates the details, has a wry sense of humor, and doesn't believe chivalry is completely dead then maybe I'm worth prodding with a pointy stick (though "winks", e-mails, and IM's get my attention too). Looking for someone who is active, intelligent, and inspired to try new things. Someone who is independent, has a good sense of humor, and their profile doesn't read like a text message.

What's most certainly true is that it depends on who each and every individual is when it comes to what a person might see in me, find in me, bring out of me, and vice versa; the nature of people towards one another is never the very same in any two cases.
The only absolute, immediate deal breaker is overt prejudice against people in certain communities (races, religions, sexuality, et cetera). Then again, how many times have you heard someone who is utterly racist say: "Hi. I am utterly racist"? It just doesn't happen.
