I have a green thumb and have been known to grow an amazing vegetable garden. In fact, it’s thanks to this that I have raised two young women who can’t stand to cook without fresh herbs.
I am definitely not afraid to get dirty- I have planted a small orchard, fixed cars, solved plumbing problems, and responded to the screamed phrase “Kill the bug! Kill the bug!” without a hitch.
I have lived in the Central Valley of California for the past 34 years. Before that I was a biology major studying at a university along the coast. I love the coastline of California. From Monterey, to San Luis Obispo, to Santa Barbara- the coast includes some of the best places around, in my opinion. In addition, lately I have been spending time in the Sierras, past Sonora. This is primarily due to my enjoyment of fishing. I don’t like to be “lazy,” but I enjoy fishing because it is one of the few times throughout a year when I can sit and do nothing for five hours and not feel guilty with myself AND still be labeled as a “provider.”
I am satisfied with life and know that I can provide for myself,but I am searching for a person to share some of the day to day enjoyment with.
My daughters mean a lot to me and I am extremely proud of them. I just threw a graduation party for my youngest and beamed with pride as we honored her achievements. Also, my eldest is a math whiz in graduate school.
One of my favorite things to do is watch foreign or independent films. I got my daughters into it, and I enjoy taking around any of my eclectic group of friends to partake in the all of the fun. If you enjoyed Amelie, The Darjeeling Limited, Paris 36, or Mr. Hulot’s Holiday we’re sharing similar tastes. And even if you didn’t or haven’t seen those, it’s always a pleasure to watch some more or hear about other people’s interests.
