What makes me better than the next guy? I hope experience but really that would be something for you to decide. I know that I have most if not all the traits that most women are seeking in a man according to all the profiles that I have read. Not too many people list their flaws because we are all perfect in our own minds and we all try to hype ourselves up to make us more appealing. I admit I am not perfect and I make my fair share of mistakes but I learn from my mistakes and I am a big enough man to admit when I’m wrong. Let’s face it our profiles are just a resume for a soul mate/new best friend and lover. I know that I bring a lot to the table and I have so much to offer to the person I fall in love with next. My last relationship lasted a little over 18 years, which is something I am proud of. I was lucky enough to experience a healthy and loving relationship and I know that experience will enable me to achieve it once again but this time around will be even better because I know what mistakes not to make. I think my best quality is common sense; common sense is what keeps us from making stupid decisions and it is what makes us smart and successful in every aspect of life. Meet someone special from Wheat Ridge, United States. I am going to start by describing my sense of humor, since this is a big part of me. The first thing that comes to mind is that I can have a sarcastic sense of humor… If your still reading then maybe we already have something in common ? For the longest time I thought of this as a bad thing, but its always with respect and never to make fun. My sense of humor can be a bit strange, not strange in a “WTF ?” kinda of way, I just have a tendency to joke about things in our society that are out of whack, i.e. how people often focus on things that are not really important or how people tend to formulate an opinion based on first appearances. I guess that’s why I appreciate the “Simpsons” I also think that Monty Python movies are hilarious. Many of my friends say that I have a contagious laugh.
Generally speaking, I appreciate life, and realize how lucky I am . I don’t always feel that way, but much more often than not. I believe strongly in the concept of moderation, not that I always practice it ? I feel that I have lived a good life and by that I mean doing the right thing. I always get excited when I learn something new, even the smallest of things, awhile back I learned a new way to open a bottle of wine!. Oh yeah I can be a bit geeky ;) One thing that I have learned over the years is the importance for people to maintain their individuality, especially when in relationship. I think that it’s vital in order to keep a relationship youthful and dynamic.
Like so many of the people here in Colorado, I am a transplant, I am from upstate NY. I moved here because I love the outdoors. I use to camp a lot, but I am a kinda of burned out on solo camping, so if you like to camp that’s a big plus in my book.
I love to travel, but usually not five star accommodations I am more comfortable in a place that feels real to me, one of my best trips was when I camped for almost 4 months on the beaches throughout Mexico. A big part of travel for me is meeting people and getting a sense of their world.
Writing about myself is not a strong suite, but I think you get an idea of what I am like. There are a lot of things that I didn’t touch on, but that would take the fun out of getting to know each other ? Don’t you think ?

Well honestly I believe that any relationship of substance is built on a foundation of friendship – it’s great when there is that �spark’ from the start but I think it takes more than pure physical attraction for something long term and meaningful. I have lived all around the US and choose to make Colorado my home after having spent four years up in Ft. Collins attending CSU (Go Rams!). I did leave after school and bounced around the east coast for a while before deciding to settle down in Denver.
I do like to stay active, I'm addicted to yoga and like to ride my mountain bike but I'm not 'hardcore' by any means. Balancing weekends between getting outside and chilling on the couch or getting busy in the kitchen is my idea of time well spent. I recently got certified in scuba and took my first dive trip to the Dominican Republic (which was incredible!). I do like to get a trip or two to someplace new (ideally out of the country) every year. On the flip side I do love my down time and a lazy day (especially a cold and rainy one) spend on the couch streaming Netflix is a beautiful thing!
Food and cooking is a great tradition in my family and I am very at home in well stocked kitchen. I try to get out to New York City one or twice a year where I inevitably spent most of my time prowling the Indian markets and restaurants trying new dishes and looking for the perfect Vindaloo. Food can be very sensual and there is something very satisfying in cooking for friends and loved ones - especially when they get that look on their face and sit back and sigh and you know you just hit a home run with whatever meal you prepared.
My day job is pretty boring – I work as a project manager for a software company but I balance it out with a volunteer job that I love. It is rather time consuming and a pretty serious commitment (I’ll tell you about it later if we do meet up) so there are certain weeks (or weekends) that get filled up more quickly than others. I do have time for someone in my life it’s just that the schedule changes up from time to time.
Life moves fast and it’s so easy to get stuck in the day to day and before you know it another week is gone by and if you set limitation around who you think you want to meet it can really kill those opportunities. I will say that I have had some �not so good’ experiences on Match so I just want to be up front that the first time we get together isn’t a date – we don’t know each other and are just seeing if we can stand being in the same room for more than 30 minutes ? so expect meeting for coffee or a drink – not dinner and movie. If that goes well and we decide to meet again then it’s a date and we will plan for something more (just saying).
I really don’t have a set checklist of the perfect match and find that it really comes down to spending some time to get to know each other to see if there is someone that it all clicks with and the chemistry is there - that’s the one for me.

They wouldn't lie, would they? I love to ski (obviously), mountain bike, roller blade, volleyball, cook, travel, check out old and new bands, good wine (yeah I know, who like's bad wine??) play tennis and golf. I love Denver and exploring the area. I've had long term relationships and am not afraid of commitment. Not looking for the work hard play hard overachiever. It would be great to find someone who loves the mountains (skiing/boarding, mountain biking, music festivals, long weekends,golf ) as much as I do. I own my own business which gives me a lot of free time to explore and travel.
