Date someone special from Colorado, United States. ABOUT ME: I guess I could most aptly describe myself as an outgoing guy who enjoys being very active recreationally and socially. My foremost outdoor recreational passions are skiing, cycling and hiking. Fly fishing has also been big in my life at times - especially because of the many beautiful (sometimes exotic) places that it has taken me. Other recreational pursuits have included scuba diving, kayaking, flying, etc. (As many of my friends are golfers, I have intentions of taking it up, but haven't yet carved out the time.) I love to travel and experience new adventures. I discovered during college that I enjoyed studying language (German, at that time). More recently, my language interest has been Spanish. I have particularly delighted in living with local families in Guatemala and Mexico (multiple times in San Miguel de Allende with the same family) and indulging in month-long language courses, while soaking up the local culture and visiting nearby points of interest. I cherish my friends, work at nurturing existing friendships and look forward to making new ones. I have several groups of "same time next year" friends, with whom I have done, and continue to do, ski trips, cycling tours, Shakespeare festivals, etc. I enjoy live theater, concerts, movies, etc. I love a good laugh. Lately, it seems like the times that I have laughed longest and hardest have been with old friends recounting shared humorous experiences. I am grateful for the breaks that have come my way in life - education, athletics, career, relationships, etc. Hence, giving back to others (community, youth, etc.) has become a priority.
