I am a bit of a homebody.... I was never into going out to big parties or hanging out in nightclubs drinking. I like the outdoors, but I'm not really "sporty"... mostly because I'm a bit of a klutz. I spend alot of my free time either doing something around the house or heading up into the hills to see if I can talk a couple trout into coming for dinner.

I recently took up gardening..... okay, it's not really gardening... it's mostly a bunch of plants that die after a couple of weeks... but I've learned alot from the mistakes. I've got ONE lonely little tomato on a tomato plant that's struggling to make a presence and a broccoli plant that doesn't actually have any edible broccoli on it... LOL.
I love to cook.... recently my brother's fiance bought him a sushi class for his birthday, so I went with him. It was kind of cool, but I'd never actually been all that into sushi. The instructor asked everyone in turn to introduce themselves and tell us what your favorite kind of sushi is.... when it came to me, I didn't have a favorite sushi, because I wasn't really all that into sushi... so I said "I read on a blog that girls love sushi, so I figured I better learn how to make it!". She thanked me for my honesty and admitted she hadn't heard that one before. I didn't have the heart to admit to her that I made it up about 3 seconds before she got to me. Mostly however, I try to learn to cook a variety of different types of food.. Italian, Chinese, Thai.. etc.
I'm a heating / solar mechanic by trade.... so I work pretty crazy hours when the thermometer drops below 40, but I like the work, and my dad once told me.. ."You've got to find something you like doing so much that you'd be willing to do it for free... then just find someone dumb enough to pay you to do it."..... and the job keeps me interested enough that I still ... (look forward to going to work is a little strong).... but I still enjoy my job most days... but if I ever win the Powerball, I'd still resign by email from tahiti.
