I put myself through college, worked two and three jobs to do it. Placed third in the 1992 United States Judo National Ladder tournament. I made Lieutenant in the Colorado Department of Corrections. The big one: I have two beautiful girls that are working on becoming really cool adult people, awesome! I am grateful for them, for my health, my friends, family, and this country. So, I am reasonably happy with this life and would like to meet someone that takes joy where they are.
I have two good, close friends in the very real sense of the word. We have been through the years, the blood, the sweat, and the tears. Literally. I am dearly fortunate for them. I have a circle of friends that I regularly meet to watch grown men beat the shnocky out of each other in the UFC. Good times!
I do like to dance. Years ago, in my bar days, I was a regular at the old "Cowboys" nightclub in Colorado Springs. A couple by the name of Manny and Alice gave free dance lessons there every Sunday and Tuesday night. I did that for a couple of years. Two step, three step, waltz, the Texas two step(!) Oh, yeah! Good times. You know, you can dance country to Journey, and AC/DC? No, really. )
A mentor of mine, before she retired, once advised me that the best relationship was one based on friendship. Commonality. I think I agree with her. I want a friend, ... and a lover.
