Meet a man from Boulder, United States. The first way in which I'd describe myself is creative. I run a small, successful furniture manufacturing and design company where I work as a designer and builder. We specialize in custom wood furniture (www.esreyfurniture.com) . In association with my work, I'm also constantly noodling on my own home with additions and improvements. I love oil painting and sculpture. I play guitar, preferably with friends. I enjoying getting my hands dirty and working my acre sized lot with plantings and masonry projects. I've buried a ton of myself into my home and after 10 years, I really enjoy it here.
Now just because my work forces me to live in a town like Boulder, doesn't mean I don't love it here. I feel a kinship with the liberally, athletic lifestyle. I'm fortunate enough to be able to continue to compete for national championships with my local, ultimate frisbee team. Ulti keep me young and physically sharp as well as creates a big part of my social network. I like trying to wear out the local trail system with my trail running shoes and bike. Even though Eldora is not necessarily a world class resort, it's great to have a local mountain with some decent hidden shots to avoid the I-70 corridor some. I know of several camping spots just up the hill a little ways that I can poach in the late afternoon.
However, my one beef with Boulder is that it's too far from the ocean, so my latest passion has been trying to find property and eventually build a place in Mexico. After a lifetime of travel, more than often in the third world, I'm presently very close to lining up a place in San Juanico, Baja Sur. San Juanico is a small surf town which presently boasts one of the longer, softer waves in the world. It's also quite difficult to get to, which is good in keeping away the crowds. To me, it's a great complement to the Boulder lifestyle and a place I eventually foresee spending up to a month or two each year. After all, for the first time, I can say I'd prefer a great surf day to a powder day.
I'm a proud parent of a nine year old son, Jack, and a seven year old daughter, Layla. Obviously, they are a huge part of who I am. We enjoy skiing, climbing, soccer, ultimate, getting outside and traveling together. Though I feel satiated with my wonderful children, I could foresee more children in my future and/or would open my heart and enjoy other children given the right scenario. I'm often proud that my home is the center for all the kid's activities on our street.
I really enjoy my life. However, I believe it'd improve a bunch if I were lucky enough to find a significant other to grow happy and old with. Here's to enjoying the second half of life even more than the first!

I consider myself as down to earth but I've been known to go a little stir-crazy (playfully eccentric) at times. I’m dedicated to hard work and achievement in my career but I keep it in perspective. I offer myself to the people around me and I'm fulfilled by the integrity of those relationships. My folks were school teachers and people often say that they could easily see me in that same light. Maybe someday I’ll do that in an official capacity, but otherwise, I've had the opportunity to undertake that role with my younger professional colleagues in a nice, challenging, high-tech kind of way.
I tend to have a small group of close friends rather than a large group of acquaintances. My friends are people that I highly respect. I'm grateful to have them and they deserve my service and selflessness.
I love the outdoors, so Colorado is perfect for me. I’ve been here for over ten years now. I like to travel, but this is definitely home. For a time I lived along the Maine coast in New England and it certainly had its moments but I love Colorado.
I'm happy with who I am and where I'm at, but if I can find someone to share my life with, then I'd hope to achieve a level of enchantment that I have yet to know. I’m looking for a partner who's independent but devoted, traditional yet unconventional, intellectual but whimsical, mature while still awe-inspired, physically active but adorably clumsy. There’s no magic formula for me, but some basic common interests probably help. I grew up in Florida on the beach, but moved to Colorado more than 10 years ago for the mountains. I really love both, and luckily I can enjoy both since my family is still in Florida.
I'm laid back, yet outgoing, and I like to be active, but not 100% of the time! I like people who are smart, yet funny, and can give/take a little sarcasm, but not people who are mean spirited, overly complicated or dramatic. I am motivated and I can be serious, but I don’t take myself too seriously (at all). I’m an extremely nice person, and sometimes seem a little quiet when you first meet me. But this is only because I think it’s more important to be genuine and polite until we get to know each other. Once we do, you’ll find that I have a very fun, over-the-top sense of humor, which though it is always good natured, has occasionally gotten me into trouble with some people who are overly PC (oops!). I am a gentleman and will go the extra mile for someone I really like, but high maintenance is right out.
Beyond that, I like to keep a balance between having a good time and taking care of myself. I stay fairly active, but I also love to eat pizza and drink a good beer. I love what Colorado has to offer, but I also love to travel – I guess yet another balance to keep. I’ve got a professional career now, but my dream is to stuff enough money in a mattress to do something really cool like open my own bike shop.
