I am a driven and intellectual individual who also enjoys all outdoor activities and sports (from football to skiing and kayaking), likes witty banter and stimulating conversation, loves to travel, and is spontaneous, never sarcastic (if never means often), and full of laughter (which includes inappropriate times). I am just as comfortable dancing barefoot at a bluegrass show as I am at a black-tie dinner for a political event. I guess if I had to pick a musician to best describe myself, he would be Bob Dylan, no doubt (for the storytelling and his home town is right next to my hometown). And the song? Tangles up in Blues (for the wanderlust aspect). The movies that best decribe my personality and professional interests are: The Big Lebowski for the debacles and language (sometimes), Dumb and Dumber for the sense of humor, Syriana for the professional/politcal interests (energy, international and environmental law), Almost Famous for my love of classic rock, music fests/concerts, and overall style, and the newest Bond movies for my love of travel to off-the-beaten-path locales. I don't watch many movies, but they are a better description than a simple paragraph.
A major weakness of mine is playing video games. As in, not that I like them, but that I am horrible. At all of them. On the rare occasion I play a video game, I am by far the favorite to lose. One of my strengths is playing bags, or cornhole to some folks. I guess I was born with the lawn game gene and can hold down my side of the boards. Unfortunately, this skill is only useful at backyard barbecues. That is, until someone creates the Lawn Game Olympics...
Anyways, I am looking to meet someone who is intelligent, witty, and can hold a conversation on whatever topic is presented. A great sense of humor is a major plus as is spontaneity and the ability to adapt to a plethora of social settings. Denver is amazing and unique! It's the only place I know where you can enjoy the outdoors the most. I don't understand why I'm still single so I'm giving this a try. A usual week for me pretty much starts with Church then something fun. Work is an easy drive to North Platte, NE and back. I go to the gym, practice on my piano and guitar, or work in the garage. I've been having trouble here on Match. I thought it would be a great place to meet girls. Girls that ski/snowboard, have goals, and communicate. After 9 months and countless e-mails to introduce myself I get nothing in reply. I think it's messed up that girls say, "I'm open to meeting people and doing new things" and there's not even a hello from them. What am I doing wrong? I don't think online dating is for me. Do any girls have the courage to dance with me?
