I am an educated health professional looking for my sweetheart... I'm drawn to many things; from science- geology, astronomy, biological sciences to rocking out when the mood or music hits me to gardening. I'm also definitely drawn towards most things Asian- the food, people, landscapes, culture, religion (Taoism and Buddhism). I am into eating healthily- esp raw foods and juicing- doing some yoga, being in nature and the outdoors (especially the mountains). One of my absolute favorite activities is taking a long hike to some high country mountain lake, etc. I am a vegetarian (and almost vegan) and really would like my partner to share this. And hopefully my pizza addiction as well! I love animals of all kinds...(well, I must admit I'm not crazy about mosquitos or flies). I value humility, confidence, humor, a wide world view, being well read, being compassionate and kind. I enjoy cultural events, museums, etc as well as exploring great restaurants. My ideal partner is an attractive vegetarian deadhead Buddhist (but I'd settle for three out of four!). And chemistry is everything! My ideal partner can make me laugh- a lot- just by being herself. I like to laugh at myself- there is plenty there that I find amusing...There is little I dislike in this world, but I do find cigarettes, Aspartame (nutrasweet), traffic jams, and sarcasm toxic; everything else likely has its place somewhere... I've never owned a microwave oven and wouldn't use one if I could. I know some pretty obscure things- from how to interpret a horoscope to how to grow dalias. I can adjust cervical, thoracic, and lumbar vertebrae. I can give a great massage. My sports passion is soccer and my one sports team is FC Barcelona- but I don't care too much for other sports... I have a book already published and am working (slowly) on a couple more (nonfiction, health related). I don't own a tv ..(I do love the Simpsons and the Colbert Report- I watch Colbert many nights on the computer)...I founded a business that I'm hoping will allow me to retire in a few years. Ideally I would settle down in the mountains, by a river, and grow raspberries and apples and have a few dogs. Basically I'm into quality in all things- mediocrity doesn't do it for me and life is way too short to settle! I respect people who don't have many "opinions" and judgements about things. Live and let live! I love to travel and have been to India a few times, Nepal, Ladakh, Sikkim, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Thailand. There's a lot more to see and I can't wait! I'm not very "mainstream"- I avoid shopping malls and franchise restaurants if at all possible. I'm really hoping to find my partner. I like holding hands and random acts of affection. I can't stand to see an animal mistreated or suffering. Sometimes I really grieve for our planet. Life is amazing! My ideal partner knows who Leo Messi is, has read Henry David Thoreau, loves Japanese Haiku and Indian Ragas, and loves Jerry Garcia. But if you don't know any of these things and people, if you are a nice, sweet, warm, compassionate, person, that would be good enough!

I love playing and competing in golf and still play it professionally from time to time. I have 3 grown kids on their own and 2 children, who will be 11 and 13 this year, who need me and know I will never fail them. I moved to CO., it will be two years in October to be closer to my daughter after suffering a tragic loss, and I go back to MN. once a month to see my lil' ones.

I retired from martial art competition a couple years ago but I stay in shape and still get mistaken for Rutger Hauer, however not as often as I used to. That being said, I do not play games, I will not tolerate dishonesty or deception. I bring in bands and artists that are relatively unknown but are kick ass musicians. There’s not a lot of dancing in Montrose so I do my best to provide some dancing. I raised 2 kids here in Montrose. They are now successfully on their own. My oldest recently made me a proud grandpa. I enjoy getting out and socializing. My friends are very important in my life and after being in the same small town wherever I go I usually run into someone I know. Music is my main passion. I’m an avid reader and usually have a couple of books going. I like many different genres both fiction and nonfiction. I love to travel but honestly haven’t traveled as much as I wish I had but there is the future.
