Date a boy from Yorba Linda, United States. What to say, what to say? I'll try and keep this simple. I'm just another guy, trying to get by in this rough and tumble world. I was born and raised in Southern California by a pair of Baby Boomers, my mother and father, who were first generation Californians themselves. Their parents, and my grandparents, had come from Oklahoma. Maybe it's this reason why I tend to love grass roots country.I'm a simple kind of guy. I take each day for what it is, just glad to have another day. Sometimes life can be too damn hectic, and it's nice to just enjoy the simple pleasures in life. Music, friends, family, pets. I'm a laid back Liberal with some Conservative tendencies, marking me in the middle ground of the two parties.I like to laugh and make my friends laugh, even if I can tend to have a dry sarcastic type of wit at times. I own guns, and I go shooting regularly with my father. I go to the gym when I can, so I stay in decent shape (even though my eating habits are absolute shite). I'm kind and generally generous, sometimes to the point where it can be detrimental to myself. I'm not, however, without my flaws. Those, you'll just have to find out for yourself. My taste in music has been called eclectic. Nearly anything short of heavy metal, gangsta rap, and hip-hop is suitable. Dean Martin, Jake Owen, George Strait, Billy Joel, Deadmau5; I love them all. I even enjoy classical music, and ye olde tavern and medieval music as well. Strange tastes, no?I sound like an Average Joe, don't I? Well, I suppose I might as well share my second half. I've been training in karate since I was 5 years old, although in recent years I have been training less as college classes take precedence. I own two separate black belts in two separate styles of martial arts, and have had the rare opportunity and honor to train under some of the best senseis (instructors) in Southern California, if not the Western Seaboard. (RIP Sensei Rabago; I will always cherish and treasure our time together).
Finally, I competed in the NBL. The National Black Belt League. (I always wondered why it wasn't NBBL; maybe it doesn't have such a nice ring to it?). While this may not sound like much, this is the highest level of traditional martial arts competition in the United States and one of the leading world circuits. I competed in the kata and weapons divisions, in which I would perform a set series of moves either empty handed or with a weapon. While this is not the Karate Kid fighting scene that most imagine it to be, I can assure you that it is most difficult. Each move must be precise, powerful, and exactly on target. Stances must be low to the ground, with no deviation in height. Kimae and energy must be harnessed into explosively loud kiai, all without sacrificing technique for power. I went to the Grand Nationals, the top NBL tournament in the world, and made it to the grand finals in the kata division. I lost, by .001. Second place in the entire world in my division, based upon one judge's incrementally differing score. No small feat, and I am damn proud and happy.
Sounds like a tall tale, doesn't it? Like a lot of boasting and bragging, no doubt. I will quietly verify it all, and in truth, I don't like to speak of it often. I feel too much like a blowhard. And nobody likes a braggart.
As for what I'm looking for....it's simple. I'm looking for someone who can accept me for who I am. I'm not exceptionally witty (although I have my moments), I tend to be a bit nervous and shy around strangers, and I'm certainly not what you would call a 'ladies man' or a 'smooth operator.' Intelligence and the ability to hold civil conversations and debates over controversial topics is always a bonus, and I love a woman with a sense of humor. I'm not looking for someone to bind themselves down forever, simply a temporary, enjoyable relationship however that may be. I treat women as my equal and try to be as giving as I can in a relationship. I simply pray that is enough.

I am looking to meet someone that I can spend time with and have fun. I think the most important quality a girl can have is to be trustworthy. Good girlfriend material is a girl that has her head on straight and knows what she wants in life and has a pretty good idea about what she wants in the future. I want a girl that leads a healthy lifestyle and that likes to go out and have fun and also like to stay home sometimes for a low-key night.
