Date single man from California, United States. I'm a divorced, young, healthy 61 year old who always tries to keep a positive outlook. The glass is half full not half empty.
Owning 2 businesses for over 30 years has kept me busy. Dealing with the public employees adds variety to a work life. I work hands on with my employees. I also volunteered 6 years of work for the largest association of my industry becoming president. Being the owner I do not punch a time clock. That makes for some very long hours but also some extended free time, work permitting.
My pride is a Brittany Spaniel named Nellie. She's a companion upland game hunter. She has her freedom to go come as she pleases from a kennel in the garage to the back yard. She sleeps outside.
Always an outdoors person I enjoy traveling, fishing, upland game bird hunting, sports, being around water, exploring different Cities. I try to get to a baseball or basketball game fit in a musical play each year. I do like traveling put together my own trips. I've bare boat captained 50 ft yachts into the Gulf Islands twice. In the last 10 years I've driven to Canada twice along the coast, driven to San Felipe, been to Victoria, Vancouver, Jasper, Toronto, Montreal, Quebec, The Florida Keys, the Caymin Islands, Aruba, Cabo San Lucas, Cancun, La Paz, just recently Belize. Belize is wonderful. In 2 weeks I explored 2 small cities, snorkeled their barrier reef, zip lined in the jungle over a river, climbed a Mayan ruin, boated 2 rivers seeing howling monkeys, fresh water crocodiles, a 5 ft iguana, fished, relaxed on beaches, mingled with locals ate great sea food.
Good health is important. I go for a 1 a half mile walk 1 a half mile run 5 or 6 days a week with Nellie. No marathons, just what is comfortable. My diet is pretty good. I see my doctor twice a year do not have to take any prescription drugs.
So, if your ready I'm looking for a relationship where there aren't an immense amount of exact expectations. Total control is not the answer. Education is not as important as good common sense. For me what's needed is an open, flowing companionship where there's a true honest connection of likes, dislikes, room for some differences. Physical appearance being healthy enough to climb a hill, hike across a City, go up a Mayan ruin, row down a river, go dancing, see a movie, or just sit enjoy is very important. However, there needs to be some free time for each individual to still maintain the way each has developed over the years. After all, we are a product of our past and present environment. We all have different needs constantly evolving that require different answers. The key is being able to share enough of these.
By the way, all pictures were taken in 2012.
