My current passion is ballroom dancing, so several times a week I'm on the floor either dancing, taking lessons, or occasionally performing. (Check out "Nina & Dave - ECS" on Youtube.) My favorite dance is Swing, which I first learned in JHS, and I can hold my own in about 10 others.
Also at the top of the list is spending time with friends, walking, joking, dining, hacking around a golf course, dancing, or just talking or emailing. I have an irreverent sense of humor, which seems like the best strategy for coping in this crazy world of ours. My house is environmentally up to date with cactus in the front yard, extra insulation in the attic, and solar panels on the garage roof.
In retirement I try to keep the brain cells alive by teaching an online Astronomy course and by participating in the Plato discussion program at UCLA.
In order to remain active I need to exercise, so most days I either walk or hit the gym, even on vacations. I'll always remember cruising along the coast of Greenland, pumping iron in the ship's gym while watching icebergs float by.
Quit smoking when I was 10 – too expensive, didn't want to give up comic books and candy bars. I don’t drink. I’ve survived two brief marriages with no kids to brag about. But I am the family's favorite uncle, also known as "FU."
In my working life I enjoyed understanding how nature behaves, and I was fortunate to get paid for doing just that as a college professor of Astronomy and Physics and a researcher for NASA’s Jet Propulsion Lab. I also directed a Summer Science Program for gifted high school students, and created an Astronomy course which was offered for 25 years through UCLA Extension.
I've faced many challenges during my life, from 100-mile bike rides in my early teens, athletics in HS, earning a Ph.D. from Yale, to developing an online course while teaching it for the first time. My current challenge is to improve my dancing, and find Ms. Right. Is she you?

I want him to be happy with his life, done with games, and ready to share his life. These aren't difficult things - I just haven't found them all wrapped in one quite yet.

I love to travel and would love to see more of the world. I love a good glass of wine and a fireplace! I like taking drives and not having a destination in mind. I love to paint and be creative. I am trustworthy, likable and very honest.
I like ambitious people and those who have goals. You should be self-sufficient, financially and emotionally stable, patient, and kind at heart. I love a man who can make me laugh. Please be genuine, honest, have old-fashioned manners, morals, values, goals, motivation & an excellent sense of humor! I LOVE to laugh - especially at myself! A guy who can be silly!! You don't have to know how to dance well, just dance!! I like guys who are not afraid to be affectionate. You will expose me to new ideas and experiences, and will also expect the same from me. You will have your own friends but will share them on occasion, and you should be comfortable in a variety of social settings. You do not have to be the life of the party but please do not be the one to sit in the corner and pout if things are not going your way. Please be mature and please look at the glass as half full. If you get down about the little things in life, again, we will not be a good match.

Date a soulmate from Westchester, United States. I think it's a bit weird as I describe myself because I think it is better that people draw their own conclusions. Physically, they can see my photos are recent, with the difference that my hair is shorter, not much. I am a woman who believes in love and all its follies, sincere, honest, outgoing, a little risky and I face life with my best smile. I hate to complicate or take life too seriously, and finally we reflect what our mind conceptualizes of life and the environment in which growing up. I know what I want and where I go. I love to laugh and I have good sense of humor and i love the same in my partner , I like traveling and music is part of my life for ever. I love dancing and anything that involves exercise, I usually go to the gym, biking, hiking, swimming, yoga, among others. I have the clear concept of what is healthy living and harmony but without falling into fanaticism. Since I come from foreign lands, I have some goals in my life, what keeps me kinda busy. But always trying to find time for that special person that I know is out there.
I like cooking but also enjoy tasting new foods, visit new places, cozy restaurants, movies, music concerts, walking on the beach, enjoy a good wine, playing cards, have a good and interesting conversation, etc etc .... Although finally where you are, you're doing or eating, becomes secondary when you are with the person you love or at least with whom you feel super good!! .. I think it has much to do with the chemistry. and how open and honest the relationship is settle down.
I live my life 110% put forth. I'll always give the maximum effort. I love seeing how great is the nature and the joy that a simple thoughtful act can bring to others. i am looking for a man who appreciates that and also wants to get the most out his life. First and foremost, I'm looking for a good friend. Someone that is sincere and honest in what he really wants. Someone who understands how important communication in a relationship is and who truly in time wants a solo relationship and is not just looking for "the hookups."
I consider myself a true lady yet I can handle my own when playing with the big boys. LOL.). I am a very down to earth person....I dont believe in getting loud and I hate to argue. I enjoy movies, performing arts, watching and attending sporting events, dining out, music, comedy shows, getting out and being spontaneous, traveling and yet I also enjoy quiet evenings at home.. I'm a lady that can dress up for an elegant evening out with a gentelman or can put on active wear and go to the sports bar. And in addition to all of that, Im a hopeless romantic as well. :)
My latest interest is cardio boxing and crossfit classes.....OMG they kill me in every class but its all good and I'm determined !!
