I feel lucky to be able to say I truly love my life. My work (ER doctor) is challenging, but I am thankful to do shift work – only working 3-4 days a week. Meet men and women from California, United States. As with most of you on here, I in no way have any problems meeting people and having the potential for a very active social life...it just seems that meeting "the right" kind of person has gotten harder and harder for some reason...so...we turn to the internet to find better human interaction...ironic huh...so here it goes....
My friends describe me as fiercely loyal and giving to a fault...but I think that with the right person there will be no such thing as "too giving".
Not sure what else to say so figured I would share 10 things that are important to me...
1. Truth...even if it's brutal honesty...at the very least I know what to do with that.
2. Kindness...needs to be at the core of someone...not an effort made but rather an unconscious response...
3. Trust...without it...nothing can survive...can come in many forms and as long as the understanding between people is completely clear...that trust may seem unconventional to most but "complete" between the people that share it.
4. Simpatico (Chemistry)...when the important things are communicated without words...when a simple look or a slight grazing of the skin can send shivers up your spine...when a kiss ignites your entire soul...when there is no holding back between two people and they can give themselves completely to each other...it does happen ;)
5. Humor...again goes to chemistry...when two people can make each other laugh endlessly...but never at another's
expense.
6. Comfortable silence...when you are so comfortable with a person that you do NOT need to fill all the perfect moments with words and you are not "worried what the other person is thinking" during such moments....
7. Pure unadulterated animal attraction (is that too risque??)...find it so rarely and all else pales in comparison....it is love, lust, desire, want, need, passion, and id all personified in a connection with another....
8. Sunsets in perfect silence...nothing more viscerally pleasing and soulfully settling....
9. Listening to someone dear to you share of themselves...telling you their deepest secrets and most personal thoughts...again so rare to connect to someone on that level...and many times we get so caught up in our own shit...our own thoughts that we fail to let others give us the most valuable gift they have to offer...themselves.
10. My parents...might sound corny but I am truly blessed to have been born into the home I was born into...having the mother and father I have makes me one of the luckiest and wealthiest (in what matters most) people that I have even known...my world would not be as complete without them
So.I could probably go on...but I think that this is an accurate insight of a bit of me summed up in 10 line items.lol...not as easy of a task as it may seem huh.hope you "got it"if so I am interested to hear your list too :)
BTW...I also have a home in LA (West Hollywood area) and travel back and forth often...hence the username : )

i'm monogous, i do this, it seems every 5 years, major new start, then random dating, but in general i'd rather just do the relationship thing .. sigh...
Regarding relationships, I'm not sure if it's me or the other person it just sorta seems like clockwork so if you're thinking beyond 5 years it would be pretty cool if it lasted past that, i just don't know what it is, so with that said, i'm super fun really cool, and know myself etc, and am super nice..
i like duran duran, the cure, inxs, I'm a bit of an english rugby player in america, the us... the new music is sorta lame, i make also my own tunes, bla, i do everything to be honest...
yes i make money and i'm complicated, and i'm getting older too and instead of getting less as i age i seem to be getting better..

I suppose I will start with the basic stuff I enjoy tennis, volleyball, biking and hiking; yoga; weird museums (best: Mushroom Institute in Philly, where I used to live); going for drives and finding something interesting along the way; running with scissors.
Mostly, I like finding unusual and fun stuff to do about Los Angeles. My favorite thing at the moment is the old movies that screen outdoors at the Hollywood Cemetery - you can bring a picnic and bottle of wine, a la the Hollywood Bowl.
I write for a living. Books, scripts, magazine articles, corporate gigs. Everything but limericks is my motto.
My basic philosophy is the Dalai Lama, mixed with Thoreau, with a few dashes of Emerson, Ann Rice and Sarte.
Now is the above sentence pretentious or what? Does anybody even know what it means? I don't! But that's what LA has done to me. I've become a pretentious a-hole! I deserve the traffic and the Starbucks.
As you can see I am procrastinating now. I should be writing. Well, of course, I am writing this. But that's not real writing.

Now a story: yesterday, I go to Griffith Park and hike up to Mount Hollywood, which is just above the Hollywood sign. Now, understand, the trail goes behind the sign, and there is a chain link fence with all these signs saying you can not trespass and go up to the sign. It’s about 30 feet away from the fence. As I am coming back down, I see this Australian couple, leaning into the fence.
She: I thought we’d be able to be closer.
He: I thought we’d be able to touch it.
Just as he said this I was one foot away and said: “I’ve touched it.”
They both wield around.
He: “But there’s a fence. And signs that say it’s trespassing.”
Me: “I’m not saying it’s legal. I’m just saying I’ve done it … Enjoy America.”
And I went back down the path. Five minutes later, a police car comes roaring up the path.
Ten minutes later I hear a bullhorn: “Get off the hill. You are subject to arrest. There are signs telling you this is trespassing. Get off the hill. You are subject to arrest"
