Meet a man from California, United States. I am a dedicated dad who will always put my daughters first. I honestly DO have room for another person in my life, but my girls are my priority. For what it is worth, I'll never ask for something I am not willing to give and on that front, if you have children I would expect that they would be your priority as well and understand that I need to work around your mom calendar (which I know can get very full, very quick!).
What I am looking for:
I am hopeful I can find someone who is comfortable with low-pressure social activities on the weekends... wine tasting, a day at the beach, kayaking, coffee, dinner, a casual bike ride... that's it. I am open to things growing over time but need to take things one step at a time to start. A good match for me will be someone with a career and children of their own as they will have an appreciation and understanding for the challenges we both face. For example, given my dad responsibilities, if a trip is longer than a week it will be tough for me to make it happen right now -- so, as much as I would like to, if you are looking for a partner with a passport and the ability to travel the world, I am not a good fit right now (though I have travelled and even lived in Europe so I am not anti-travel by any means!).
A bit about me:
I have a solid, stable, and successful career; and while I am committed to my continued career success, I will always defer to a proper work-life balance so that I can be there for my girls when they need me. Weekends often include my girls' softball games or swim meets. When I have a "free" weekend I often to head to the Bay Area, the beach, or mountains. A bike ride in Half Moon Bay followed by a cold beer is a pretty good day; as is loading up the kayaks and heading up to Pinecrest. And while I often gravitate towards casual weekend activities like those listed above I am happy throw on a suit when appropriate and can pull it off pretty well. I like a good dinner and love to explore new foods (Thai is my favorite). In short... a little bit of everything -- though, you probably won't get me to jump out of a plane!
Quick note on my location. I currently live in the Central Valley (work in Tracy, live in Turlock) so that I am close to my daughters but spend a lot of my free time in the Bay Area with family. My ideal "match" could just as easily be located in the Bay Area as the valley.

My favorite quote and the way I try to approach my life. Even though I do consider myself very laid back and easy to get along with, I am passionate about all of my interests and about my profession, which I see as a calling. I try to find humor in just about every situation. I especially like when I do something stupid when I'm alone, then laugh so hard I get tears in my eyes. Maybe it's good that I'm in psychology...Anyway, a really good sense of humor is important to me for someone I'm with, that they can laugh easily and hard (especially at my jokes), because life is too short to take too seriously. That being said, I know when it's time to stop laughing and be serious, and I hope my partner would. I think most people say on these profiles that they love the outdoors, are as active as humanly possible, and love to run on the beach every day. I'm just as happy watching movies inside or reading a book with a glass of wine. I do like being outside on a regular basis, but I'm also an indoors kind of guy.
