Date someone special from California, United States. I joined Match because I figured I would try to eliminate the right place at the right time scenarios. I'm outgoing yet reserved. My favorite things to do with friends is going out for dinner and drinks. I'm over the bar scene. I like dive bars or lounges. I like a mixture of going out and staying home. I watch way too much reality TV. I believe family should be the most important people and influence in your life. I also like to cook however I got a late start on learning so sometimes I try new recipes on my friends and hope for a good reaction!
I'm very independent but find myself wanting a boyfriend to help me around my home. I literally have a jar of peanut butter that I can't seem to open! So, overall I want someone to share my nights, weekends, a glass of wine and someone to open my peanut butter!
Feel free to email me.......
Meet a soulmate from California, United States. I am an active, Christian, high school English teacher who loves to travel, face a challenge, and learn something new.
I have lived in Northern Ireland, gone deep sea fishing in Micronesia, stood at the top of Berlin's Victory Column, experienced a Punxatawney groundhog's day, had my first drink in Dublin (yes, Guinness.), completed two half-marathons, zip-lined through the Monteverde Cloud Forest, hiked Mt. Rainer, sang along to Mumford & Sons, Kings of Leon, and Wiz Khalifa at Coachella, Ray LaMontagne at the Greek, and James Taylor at the Hollywood Bowl (odd mix, I know.)
I am newly addicted to kayaking at the beach, taking rappelling/rock climbing classes, going to a book group, volunteering with a local non-profit, training for a fall half-marathon, trying to save my Senior students from themselves so they graduate in June!
I hope to finally watch The Wire, take a road trip this summer, try hang-gliding, visit Patagonia, hike a portion of the Appalachian Trail, see Ben Howard at the Fonda and Yo-Yo Ma at the Hollywood Bowl, read The Art of Fielding, learn French, audit a class at Fuller, go to more college basketball games next season, find someone to join me on the adventure.
I don't have a checklist. It was dismissed ages ago upon the realization that it was mostly the product of watching too many Paul Newman/Gregory Peck films and reading too many novels! The success of a relationship seems to be less about whether you are tall, volunteer, like hiking, and make me laugh (although those are all acceptable qualities!) and more about whether you don't mind me yelling at the TV occasionally during college basketball games, and that I accept your Star Wars collection, or worse, your insistence that the end of the toilet paper roll should go under and not over! It should be more about whether we support each other, challenge each other, enjoy each other, whether we hold the same core beliefs/faith and are willing to confront the ups and downs of life together. Those require more to figure out than a profile can give. But if we have those, I think I can find a cabinet for your Star Wars figures (in the basement!) and you may some day find my outbursts at the refs endearing!
