My female friends, all of whom are married, will tell you I'm handsome, smart, funny, quick witted and charming, but they love me so take it with a grain of salt, I do. However, what I know for certain is I'm kind, polite, giving and care about the feelings of the people I interact with and I look for that in a partner. Speaking of parties, is everybody here going out every night? I'm not. Mostly I cook, read, watch TV, play my guitar, work out and sleep. However, once or twice a week I'll go out to a pub, visit friends, see some live music, hit the beach and occasionally, dress up for a nice dinner.
Guitar and music is a passion but just a hobby. Still, I'll pllay a bit each day, it's a great way to relax and let your mind take a little vacation. I graduated law school, passed 2 bar exams (NY NJ) and promptly moved to LA to pursue a career in the arts (on a quiet night you can still hear my mom screaming). I'm a produced screenwriter, have been for 20 years. It's a feast and famine enterprise but fortunately I've mostly eaten well. However, it is a youth driven industry so I offset the struggles with work as a substitute teacher from time to time.
I was an athlete most of my life and still work out (swim, weights, bike) so I'm pretty solid at 5'10" 200lbs. However, I love good tasty food so there's generally a touch of meat over the muscle and I don’t' see that changing. Still, I'm in good enough shape to bike the LA Marathon each year.
My style is casual. I'm more jeans than dress pants but I do clean up nicely, despite the fact I only own 2 suits. I'm neat, especially in my home. I love animals. I never watch trailers for fear of seeing something similar to a project I'm working on. My ipod has eclectic tastes, it likes all music. I eat pancakes from the middle out. I spoon but then need space when it's sleep-time. I drive a CRV. And I'm a terrible speller. Oh, hair. Though you can't see it in the pics I have a thin spot in the back of my head (I just laughed for 5 minutes writing this, I'll probably never hear from anyone again, but I swore honesty. lol).

I am a Live Sound Engineer. In case you don't know what that is...Have you ever been to a big concert and you see the guy in the middle of the audience with the big console with all of the knobs on it? Well, that's me! I have done a lot in my life, and been all over the world.
I have shaken the hands of Presidents, and I have given hugs to newly sober Alcoholics and Addicts in pain. I have been to India and Pakistan on spiritual quests, and I have also been a soldier in the US Army. I have lived the life of Sex, Drugs, And Rock and roll, and I am sober now for almost 10 years. I am not bothered by others enjoying alcohol. I have played in bands as a bass player and lead singer, and I have built houses as a carpenter. I go on tour with bands and artists, and have been known to fly my girlfriend out to some exotic places for us to be together when I am on the road. I have been poor, I have been well off, and I have been poor again. I see money as being a necessity, not as an aspiration. I am not greedy, yet I am driven and competitive. I have the ability to feel alone in a room full of people, yet to feel like it is just me and you in a big crowd if your the right one. I am no longer a "social butterfly" like I was back in the 80's when I played in bands and mixed sound in NYC. I am a warm, generous, funny, sensual, giving, caring, honest, passionate, compassionate, artistic, intimate man. I am not interested in social climbers, or uncaring, selfish shallow, dishonest, women. I seek a woman who is artistic, loving, compassionate, sensual, creative and curious about life. I was never politically active until I watched and saw George Bush get re-elected in 2004. That is when I saw Barack Obama give his speech at the 2004 DNC and I said to myself, "Why can't I vote for him?". When he announced that he was running for President in 2006, I jumped aboard. I actually contributed money, knocked on doors, and made phone calls to help get him elected. I have never done anything like that before. That is how much he impressed me. I just can't see how I could ever have a relationship with a "conservative". I just disagree on so many levels with anyone that could actually watch, and agree, with anything on Fox News.
I have a lot of love to give the right person, and I want to be loved in return. I want the magic! I want the lightening bolts! I have learned over the years that it is the best policy to be yourself, and not to try to be what someone else wants you to be. Eventually, a situation like that ends badly.
So if you are looking for someone is different, and doesn't have a conventional career, who is romantic, artistic, sensual, humorous, caring, and has seen a lot and done a lot, then you may have just found him.

I also love being a dad. It is the most challenging and rewarding gift I've ever received. To guide my little boy and show him how to be the man he will one day want to be is what it's all about. I get to see things thru his eyes and it makes the world a better place. He is a blessing.
Finally, I love my family and friends. So many people say they dread having to be with their families on vacations. I cherish it. I love my mom and my brother and my sisters and all of their families. We are all close and they love me and support me as I do them. That's what I want in my relationship.

Someone who's spiritual, creative and confident, who's just as interested in how she feels as how she looks. Yes, looks will get my attention, but your heart will get me to stay. I never met anyone this way, I''ve always believed you make a connection with someone through conversation, etc, but a friend said he met a lot of nice women on here, and he dared me to try it, so here I am.
