Date men and women from Sausalito, United States. I thought my headline might draw some interest. It is true, but long ago. I'm 73 now. Good mind. Good conversationalist. Not in bad shape. Interesting life, as in not very typical. Married for 5 years, late in life.
Probably average with regard to male insensitivity, so if you don't communicate what you want, and take it for granted that I can read your mind, I may disappoint. However, it will not be intentional, if that helps any.
I tend to approach things "logically". It's ingrained in me I'm afraid. But I am open to training, especially if it is done with sweetness and affection. As a matter of fact, I tend to be a complete pushover in those circumstances.
I love to play golf. I suppose it would be too much to ask for that as well in a partner, so it is not a requirement (the flip side is if you have a passion that you like to pursue that takes a few hours at a time, I would never object).
I am by nature open. Don't really have a lot of secrets. I prefer to talk things out when something is on my mind. I make mistakes, but am not shy about admitting them, or apologizing to those that I may have hurt.
Business takes me all over. Last year I flew 200,000 miles. (I advise resort developers.)
I like most foods, which helps when you travel all over, and I enjoy wine with my evening meals. Well-made films and thoughtful, informative books and essays feed my mind.
My politics are mixed. I'm a realist about human nature, but at heart I want to believe in good. I used to describe myself as a "Rockefeller Republican", but that categorization seems quaint today. Let's say I tend to be middle-of-the-road, skeptical of extremism of any stripe.
Can't think of anything else at the moment, but happy to answer email inquiries.
Meet a woman from Sausalito, United States. I'm a curious person and I'd like to meet a fellow who would explore the universe with me; a companion for laughing, travel, dining/cooking, learning, conspiring together to have experiences great and small. You like to play in the kitchen, or sip an adult beverage and chat with me while I cook. You're kind to people and animals, and you might even dance with me. You live alone and sort of like it, but know it takes two to tango.
As for everything I've done in life, my list, like yours, is endless and we can share stories when we get together. Besides my three great offspring the best project was designing and building my own house with hammer, nails, used power saw, friends. Then there's the chocolate chip cookies...oh, and a hole in one. I have good parking karma, too.
Sunday mornings find me, after breakfast, reading a newspaper and listening to classical music, or at a farmer's market, or walking out to the ocean on the Tennessee Valley trail, camera in hand.
