Where to start? I think for most of us it is difficult to talk about oneself. I am told that I look many years younger than my actual age. And, yes, that is my actual age. The photo is within the last few months. I do take pride in my appearance and try to take care of myself and exercise regularly. I enjoy a somewhat urbane lifestyle and appreciate the finer things in life...who doesn't. To quote Oscar Wilde..."I have the simplest tastes, I am always satisfied with the best." I enjoy opera, theatre, ballet, museums, fine dining, travel (although, I admit I am more armchair traveler than actual right now), and the many good things that life has to offer. I am on a constant quest for knowedge (to quote Oscar again..."You can never be over educated"), and appreciate intellectual stimulation and cultural enrichment, and enjoy being with people from whom I can learn from their life experiences. I am a voracious reader ("I can't live without books"...Thomas Jefferson), and one of my favorite pastimes is perusing a bookstore...and can do it for hours. I enjoy all genre of music, especially classical...love Andre Rieu. I cannot stand rap-crap (as I affectionately refer to it)... that is not music...just really, really bad noise.
I consider my children my greatest achievements in life. They are wonderful, successful individuals and I am extremely proud of them. My son is a Colonel and a JAG (attorney) in the Air Force, as well as an Air Force Academy graduate. My daughter has her Masters in special education and is a teacher in that field. Thanks to my son, I have six beautiful grandchildren which I do not get to see often enough as they are constantly on the move with the Air Force.
I love all animals, especially my daughter's two little Shih Tzus, Charlie and Bandit.
