As for you, well rather than re-list many of the above items, I'll just say that I'm attracted to like-minded people.
I'm moving to the Dominican Republic in February to do some work on an international project, to study Spanish, but mostly to drink mojitos in paradise. I'll be there for several months, so I'm interested in meeting people who aren't turned off by this obviously. I'm not willing to put my dating life on pause until February and on your end I may be a good person to make nice with, as a free place to stay in the DR isn't a bad deal;)
Also, nothing I wanted to say really fit in the space provided below, so I need to squeeze it in here:
Movies: I like a good movie just like the next person. My favorites are those that make me want to stop watching and just make out. I must admit that I'm not a huge movie or TV person these days, but I of course enjoy a smart, well-crafted TV series and/or movie.
Music: I really love jazz. A lot of the music I listen to at least has jazz undertones. Oh, all music has jazz undertones you say. I guess I like a lot of music then. I especially love horns and throw back female jazz vocalists. I also enjoy a lot of indie music, "trip hop" (love tribal drum beats), Latin music and "conscious" hip hop.
Food: I am a very adventurous eater, but I think I mostly like food so that I can pair it with wine:) When I cook for myself I cook vegetarian and pescatarian fare, but socially (someone cooking for me, or out to dinner sharing) IРІР‚в„ўm a bit more flexible. I eat pretty healthy usually for no other reason than I just feel good when I do. I just refuse to be all obsessive with it; it negates eating healthy in the first place.

Well, where to start? I have realized people like bullet points, so here I come!
- I'm Peruvian: born and raised, but I have been living in the US since 2005.
- I love reading: but recently I have been focused more in medical books since I'm studying for the USMLE Step 1.
- I used to be a doctor in Peru: yeah, since I graduated abroad I have to take a bunch of tests so I can practice here. *sigh* and *ohm*
- I love my dog: but in a healthy way. Her name is Olivia and she is a mini Dachshund rescue that I adopted in Sept 2010. She is gonna be 5yo in March and I plan a big party. Check your email for the evite! Kidding, I'll most likely take her on a hike so she can sniff around at her heart's desire.
- I'm into photography. I used to have a point and shoot and then "evolved" into a DSLR in 2009 and I'm still trying to figure out what are all those buttons for. So, if you like exploring new sites in town, traveling, and doing silly things in front of the camera: yay!
- I enjoy TV and movies: Like I mentioned before, I'm studying for my tests, so my idle time is spent sometimes watching movies (foreign) and British and Australian sitcoms. The last movie I watched that I enjoyed was "The Skin I live in" by Almodovar and it was just astonishing. The plot and the ending were... just so Almodovar, you know (wink). When it comes to TV, if Shameless (the UK version), Skins, Spy, Wilfred, Black Books, or the Librarians make you giggle: *Thumbs up* That means we have a compatible sense of humor, which I think is very important in any type of relationship. Innit?
- I miss traveling. The last trip I took was to Turkey and Egypt through NYC. It was amazing and the foood.....oh, the foood! Yum
About you: Let's see. If you are still stuck in the "I work hard, I play hard" phase, just hit "next". I want someone who has already "looked for himself" and "successfully found himself". Someone who has a nice relationship with his family (family is important to me too. Hello! I'm Latina!). Someone who is not afraid of trying new things and getting out of his comfort zone. Some people may call me serious (which is probably somewhat true -- being a lawyer I kind of have to be at times) or feisty (I'm an Irish redhead -- goes with the territory!). Once you get to know me, though, you'll see that I'm a fun-loving girl with a big heart. I'm fiercely loyal to my family and friends, and I hope that anyone I date will be the same way.
