Simplicity, keeping it real and a "less is more "attitude is generally my approach. Athough there are things I definitely indulge in. When I have the time, day trips are great. Visiting a hot spring, beach, aquarium, the zoo are a lot of fun. And in the process I decided that I really like petting zoos with goats.
My personality: I enjoy social activities in moderation and certainly like to spend some time alone for my own personal pursuits. I tend to be an idealist and realist which I don't think are contradictory. I think people have a huge potential for growth, clarity and happiness but some just don't ever tap into that; which is sad. Living only once, I do believe in living a life with depth and meaning. My biggest fear is to not truly live out my life with courage, a sense of humor and adventure and to love the best I can. Trading that in instead living a life of convention and safety is definitely not me.
I spend my free time reading, listening/playing music, meditating/going to mindfulness retreats, exercising( swimming, yoga), reading up on veterinary medicine, watching movies(sucker for superhero movies), spending time with a friend/co-workers.
Job: I'm a veterinarian in general practice. I've recently toyed with the idea of going into emergency medicine and critical care. I also enjoy wildlife (especially the aquatic kind) and pathology (dead stuff)....maybe wildlife pathology!!! As for now, I'm happy learning and growing from where I am but I know myself well enough that in the future I'll be looking for change.
Things you may like: I like giving back massages because it makes people happy and I have strong hands to do it, I don’t like sports in general but love boxing, I can wrestle your big dog and win most of the time except when he bites the sh*t out of me, I drink 8 cups of water a day. And finally, I don't play video games.
Things you may not like: I try to grow facial hair but I’m not very good at it, I can’t really cook partly because I’ve never really tried, I have a few unattractive facial expressions.

Love (in no particular order):
- San Francisco - I'm very fortunate to be able to work here and spend a lot of my time here.
- Santa Barbara - my extended family lives there, I went to college there, and it is hands down, my favorite place.
- Movies - high-dialogue ones, movies with subtitles, and really stupid-funny ones. If they're not in the mainstream theatres, the more likely it is I'll like them.
- Fashion and office supplies - I truly love office supplies.
- Good grammar and Books - the real kind, with pages that turn.
- My big family - they are the source of most of my laughs. I have three younger sisters, two brothers, parents in London, grandparents who I adore, and countless aunts, uncles and cousins. Every meal is a party.
- Warm weather (grew up in SoCal) and being outdoors. There are too many incredible places to explore in the Bay Area.
- Food and the Event of Food: Especially experimental, spicy, fun throw-everything-together and see what happens cooking.
- Tolerance, perspective, balance, simple pleasures and an appreciation for life - short as it may be, the people you care about should never have to guess at how you feel about them. I guess you could say I am often direct, particularly if an issue is of significance to me.
- Yoga and things that develop organically - I'm kind of a blend between a preppy conservative and a free spirit. I still use deodorant that actually works (sorry Tom's) and I would have a hard time being vegan because I love ice cream and cheese too much.
What I want long-term is someone who I respect and who respects me. Someone who is honest with himself and others. Someone who has a good work ethic, but who knows how to enjoy the non-working moments too, who I can have incredible passion and chemisty with, and also laugh and joke with. Someone who has a life separate from me and who values friendships and family. Compatibility, particularly in how one approaches new situations, is important. I am definitely not looking for perfection, but strength.
But for now, I am looking to meet new people and take in all this life has to offer.

Date someone special from California, United States. Where to start?!? I love to laugh, even at corny jokes, though I have a serious side as well. I like to plan things - but only to an extent. I like to take notice of the simple things in life (time with my niece, nature, chocolate, a good movie, etc.) and enjoy experiencing them as they come my way. Although I enjoy simple pleasures I am not so simple. I have many interests and like to dabble in things that might teach me something. I have goals and hope to be given the opportunity to acheive them. My outlook on life is bright.
I was recently asked what I was looking for, and without thinking I said, "I want it all." I want attraction, chemistry, friendship, fun, a sense of meaningfulness, etc. I am hoping to meet someone who I can experience most (though all would be preferable) of these things with. Someone who wants to experience life with another. I am hoping to find love that will stand the test of time. I hope to find a man who is ready for that, someone who is ready for what life has to offer beyond the realm of individual satisfaction. Hopefully he is out there and will be ready to give it a chance, see where things take us. I want things to happen naturally, to start out with the butterflies and if it evolves into something meaningful then that will be wonderful.
