At play, I'm always looking for ways to be outside. With my toddler daughter, I walk a lot and go to various parks. My favorite activities are downhill skiing, surfing (I'm learning this summer) and hiking. At the gym 3-4 times a week, I lift weights to be strong enough to play. My ideal guy likes to play outside together -- walking, biking, roller-blading, skiing (again:), canoeing, kayaking, etc..

Although I wasn't expecting to be a mother, I became a mom as my marriage was ending. This was an unplanned surprise, but not a mistake. My toddler daughter is the light of my life. She has a good dad who is active in parenting, so I'm not looking for a father for her. I love the joy and the work and the process of parenting.
