Date single man from California, United States. I'm not sure what I'm supposed to put in this section that isn't listed elsewhere in my profile. Did you have the same problem? I feel like I'm supposed to be selling myself here, like a lame cover letter for my resume: "I'm really great. I have an exemplary skill set that makes me the perfect match for you. I can make all your dreams come true." Blah, blah, blah. Well, at least I can tell you what I want. I'm looking for someone who shares my interests and desires. Someone who is well-educated and a good conversationalist. I'm hard-working and career focused, and I'm looking for someone who is similarly career-minded and ambitious. I value spending time with my friends and family, and I'm looking for someone who similarly values prioritizing these people in their life. Of course, maybe that's all the easy stuff. At the end of the day there also needs to be chemistry, which is often the hardest thing to find.
Meet people from California, United States. My background is Russian Jew and Japanese. My former residence was San Francisco and I moved to Israel to study urban design. Volunteering and helping the world is generally very important to me, and I love to go out with friends and have a great time. Wine, good food, biking, skiing and any other sports are interests of mine. Art also catches my attention. Flamenco, jazz, blues, rock, electronica and classical music is what I listen to. I am a positive person who is looking for fun, romance and the best way to live life.
Date a soulmate from California, United States. I've wanted to give online dating a try for a while and I'm trying to make an effort, but apparently I have no online game. Is it a numbers game? Are you supposed to email or wink? Are you supposed to brag about yourself on your profile? Sure, everyone has their requirements and preferences, but to say that I do this for work, or went there for school, or whatever comes off as a little d-baggy for me. I mean, who doesn't like long walks on the beach? I bet most of you girls just skip this and scroll right down to our height and salary. Hey, I'm not afraid to admit that I click on the pics first. If you're going to date someone, shouldn't you at the very least be attracted to them?
Admittedly, I'm a bit old school and romantic - I probably place too much value on chemistry. I want to open the door for you, and I want you to like it, but not take it for granted. You should be thoughtful and patient. I'd like to think I am.
I'm a big old conundrum - I like to go out, but I like staying in too. I eat out every meal, but I'm not a foody per se. I'm clean, but can be messy (there's a big difference). I like sports. A lot. Maybe too much. These days I find myself watching more than playing. I do want to pick up golf.

Me: quick-witted, intelligent, supportive, loving and affectionate. I want to bring out the best in my partner and encourage "us" to be the best we can be.
You: smart is good (brutally smart even better), but its all about the dynamic/energy between us. Initial physical attraction does not hurt.
Date single man from Palo Alto, United States. This is a new venture for me. My friends told me this is a great way to meet that special someone. Two of my friends have met their Match and decided to get married. I enjoy doing lots of things that are not enjoyable and relieve stress. I enjoy first class experiences as much as things that may require a pair of jeans and a T Shirt. I am very athletic, and I like to eat healthy as much as possible. But, we all know we love to break our own rules and just go for it and enjoy any and everything on the menu. I am a gentleman, who is respectful and polite always giving my lady the benefit of the doubt. Wether we are traveling in some foreign place or hanging around a small town, I enjoy being the man and making you feel safe. There are a list of things that we all want in a person like personality, kindness, intelligence, appearance, financial wellness, tolerance, understanding, social and emotional well being. I am looking for someone who is building their life and is seeking the missing piece. I have been told, am much better looking in person, and I have some amazing physical attributes and I am very intelligent, but my kindness is my most lovable quality. I hope you find that special person if you don't choose me. I am looking for a partner in life. Someone to share and explore the waves of life and all the great things it has to offer. Someone to enjoyably spend time with and share constant laughter :)

Date a soulmate from Palo Alto, United States. I just moved to the Bay area from Chicago to train at Stanford hospital.
Since I enjoy traveling and in particular the road trips, I decided to drive all over the country during the month of May and mid June to explore some attractions and to visit many friends whom I have had the pleasure to meet and know over the years and they are all scattered all over the country. Drove all the way east to NYC then south to FL, then to the west coast.
Everything went fine except for minor cold and sleeping in the car my first nite in the bay area as there is no room vacancy due to golf US open.
I also enjoy the outdoors activities, cooking ( and of course eating,I like to try new ethnic foods), wine tasting, exploring coffee shops, attending broadway shows and orchestras, ballroom dancing (been taking classes), reading, watching movies, hiking and of course traveling. I have been to France, UK, Italy,Canada, UAE and Turkey. I would like to explore the far East as well as Latin America.
I am looking to meet new people to go out with and to establish new friendships and of course relations that might become serious ones ultimately. I have been living in the US for almost 10 years and I do fit very well in the American culture as well as in my middle eastern one. I an open minded person ad treat people the way I like to be treated.

Meet a man from California, United States. Bonus points if you know where my headline comes from.
Some things about me:
* I'm an almost-native Californian (born in Princeton, NJ), and I love living in the Bay Area. With the weather, the scenery, the food, the culture, and the infrequent ground vibrations, what's not to love? Seriously, flat ground that doesn't ever move is so overrated...
* I'm good-natured and easy-going, and I don't take myself too seriously.
* I'm a huge baseball fan. (Go Giants!)
* I've never used the phrase "Lean Six Sigma" in a conversation, and I have no plans to change that.
* In my free time I design unconventional educational products for math and computer-science students. One of my main interests is finding ways to teach math and computer science to people who don't think of themselves as "math people," and to people who are downright scared of math. (Now that I think about it, at least half of my friends are teachers.)
* Contrary to what it looks like in my photo, I don't spend my whole life sitting on benches and looking at the sky. And not all of my polo shirts are green. I love taking pictures of other people, but I shy away from appearing in photos myself. Bigfoot and the Loch Ness Monster have been photographed more often than I have...
* My username roma_tomato is a reference to the main ingredient in my tomato sauce.
* I studied an unusual combination of subjects in college: math, computer science, education, art, film studies... interestingly enough, I use all of them right now.
* I play the electric bass (badly).
* I have a t-shirt that reads, "There are 10 kinds of people in the world: those who understand binary and those who don't." (If you don't get it, feel free to ask me; it's a good ice-breaker.)
* I have very eclectic taste in music - classic rock, prog rock, glam, 70's punk, 80's new wave, ska, reggae, "some" classical. Many of the groups that I listen to would have hated other groups that I listen to (especially the progs and the punks). Can't musicians just get along?
* I chose "non-conformist" for my political views even though it sounds like I wear socks that don't match. I think that most important issues are too complicated to be decided according to a set of simplistic, inflexible rules.
* I'm an amateur photographer. I miss the darkroom (sort of...) since switching to digital, but the environment is better off now without photo chemicals.
* Aside from the USA, my favorite country in the world is Israel. I lived in Jerusalem for three months when I was ten.
* Here are some of my contradictions:
- I'm both "outdoorsy" and "indoorsy" at the same time.
- Although I'm a committed Californian, I still know that New York has the best pizza.
- I use professional 3D-animation software that takes years to master, but I can barely use PowerPoint.
- I was born in New Jersey, but I don't wear tacky jewelery or have an orange fake tan.
Date single man from California, United States. I am loyal, competitive, sympathetic, and playful. I am rooted but far from home. I cope with absurdity via quick humor. I’m detail-oriented and literal-minded. Once I establish a friendship, I care deeply about its condition.
I stand for accuracy and truth-telling even (especially?) when the truth is difficult, for laughter driven by wordplay and the strangeness of life, for consistency and generosity, for keeping promises, for seriousness or craziness, depending on the context.
I desire to give and receive respect and love, to learn reciprocally in relationships, to be a responsible steward of body, mind, money, and environment, to be always reliable and occasionally delightful, punctuating my most treasured friendships with a creative flourish as a signal of my gratitude and a means of encouragement.
My ideal match will appreciate my values and affirm my (sometimes esoteric) work as having inherent worth, although her own work focus may be very different. She will probably be more extraverted than I am, and will be able to gain energy from the process of encouraging me to pace myself in a healthy way. She’ll have a genuine enthusiasm for what’s familiar and a willingness to explore what’s new. I look forward to being surprised by her thoughtfulness, ready smile, and warmth.
