I would like to meet someone who is confident but not bossy, who is comfortable with themselves, and really likes who they are. I don't like needy. We all have baggage and issues but how you deal with those lessons makes you the person you are. You need to deal with your own problems and fix them yourself. We all need a little support and friendship, but no one can fix you except you. I learned this about myself over the years. I always thought if I were thin it would fix everything. It didn't. If I were married everything would be perfect. It wasn't. It never is.
I love to talk and discuss issues. I am relatively current on most things unless I don't care about them. I don't need you to agree with me. You see things your way and I see them mine. But discussion is great. In my younger days everything was black and white. As I have aged, I realize there are way more shades of gray. I no longer judge people or make assumptions. Life somehow seems easier and better with age.
I have always said I would never have a relationship again unless it was with a retired veterinarian who was a handyman. But more often now I think of the fun I used to have when I was married. I don't know if marriage is in the cards, but I would like to meet a man to be friends with and see where it goes. No one is perfect and I believe we all realize that as we age. We look for different things in a relationship now than when we were twenty or thirty. And I believe that is a very good thing!
