As a retired high school English and math teacher, followed by being an office manager for a physical therapy clinic, I so look forward to traveling without being concerned by a work schedule. Having traveled through much of the United States, some of Europe, and recently New Zealand, I hope for more adventure and exploration. I thoroughly enjoy traveling with a companion and also look forward to meeting new people! My activities include, for example, reading, attending the ballet and our local Speakers Series, as well as going to musical events, eating out, visiting wineries, taking rides to the coast, and maybe some traveling.
The Boston area was my home before moving to Ohio because of my Dad's transfer - a bit traumatic but turned out well in the long run. I married in Ohio after college and taught for two years (in Jack Nicklaus's home town). After marrying, the military took us to Novato's Hamilton Air Force Base, and we decided to stay in the area. My teaaching career continued here at the local junior high school then when my sons graduated from the high school, I moved into teaching high school math and English. I am lucky now to be surrounded by three married sons and a daughter, each with two grandchildren, and all living nearby. Naturally, we have lots of energetic family dinners! Also, there are many good restaurants in our area, so I would especially enjoy an occasional dinner out with a male companion! It might also be fun to go dancing occasionally. My social calendar seems to be busy but I would like to meet some new people.
I am not seeking marriage but rather a friend for social activities, dinner, riding to the wine country and/or the Coast et al!

I like to garden though I haven't done it lately. I bought a piano so I can take lessons and fulfill a lifelong goal. My daughters say I set high goals and morals for them by how I act. I sound boring, but I also like all sorts of activities like plays, ballet, movies and even go to rock concerts with my daughters. I love to travel and just returned from Kauai and have a trip to Cancun planned.
